The Expert cartridge was updated to the Action Replay I believe, or at least both were from a company called 'Trilogic'. J

I never did get an Expert cartridge for the C64 so can't really comment on that peripheral. J

Yeah brilliant stuff. Me my mate used to hack around with Match Day II, we had it so the ball could go crazy high. The players didn't know what to do. Some fun times. Like you say, instant save, we used to save to the amazing Wafadrive. What a brilliant bit of kit that was. I think you could get 64k ones and I'm pretty sure 128kb ones too. Amazing times being a teenager in the 80's, really was. I remember in 1988 getting a 1541C for my Commodore 64, I was buzzing. It was pretty boring compared to the Wafadrive and the Multiface One combo. Essential bit of kit for any Spectrum user. J

Doesn't this run on Pluto5? Think they had one in a local LeisureTime arcade many years ago. If I'm remembering correctly, plays the same kind of game as Super Multi Nudge. J

Actually don’t think I ever play a £5 10p, especially if you are talking stuff like Road Hog, Adders & Ladders era. Though think you might find some £6 and £8 all cash 10p play. There will possibly be IOM chips for a load of these J

I think we have roms for those jackpots, all depends if they required a different chr chip. They are the biggest pain. J

Doh, I got rid of most of my EPROMs, I might still have a stash of chips in the loft. I have a load of old fruit machine stuff, think I have proconn sound board and even some s2 boards kicking around. Will take a look later. J

The 27C512 is a 28 pin chip isn’t it, shorter than the 27C4001. Also the 27C512 only holds 64kb of data whereas the 4001 holds 512kb of data. J

A lot of MPU4 games software was on 27C512 chips. The chip should have it printed on it, you just need to check under sticker. Sometimes the print is fairly worn and it is rather small. J
