Road Hog Mad
As per the title, does anyone have a wiring diagram for a MARS ME126 to wire up to a Pac Drive? I am currently using a Cashflow 126dfx but want to change to a ME126. The current diagram I have (attached) is for a Cashflow 126dfx, if anyone can provide something similar? WibbleWobble
Hi RHM, Does your ME126 have a 13, 15 or 17 Pin connector, I can't find a specific Manual for the ME126 but the below table which i found on Swallow Amusement Machines lists 13, 15 and 17 Pin links and was above the section which has ME126 and Cashflow 126 listed: 13 pins. 15 pins. 17 pins. Sentinel 35 C220 1-Coin 6 output. 1-Coin 5 output. 2-Coin 5 output. 1-Output common. 2-Output common. 3-Output common. 1-Output common. 2-Coin 1 output. £1 3-Coin 1 output. 4-Coin 1 output. 2-Coin 1 output. £1 3- 4- 5- 3- 4-Coin 2 output. 50p. 5-Coin 2 output. 6-Coin 2 output. 4-Coin 2 output. 50p. 5-Coin 3 output. 20p. 6-Coin 3 output. 7-Coin 3 output. 5-Coin 3 output. 20p. 6- 7- 8- 6-Select. Road Hog Mad
BF74 over at the Mecca is doing me a coin mech, I'll share the post with him and get back to you.
Road Hog Mad
And his reply was... The 13 pin for 4 coins o/p 1= £1 coin.. o/p 2 = 50p.. o/p 3 = 20p... o/p 4 = 10p The 15 pin was for the extra i/p o/p coin (tokens) 17 pin was for extra coin 5p coin or with orange box on side the 50p coin gets programmed on the extra output 6 so the £2 coin gets programmed where 50p was originally on output 2. I think we'll be OK with it so long as I follow the diagram I attached from the bottom up. My way of thinking is all are 7 up from bottom to 12v and the rest are black then the reds to the pac drive. I'll load up notepad and insert coins and see how I go.
Road Hog Mad
I have attached a picture of my current mech, with the current diagram which is widely available. If i'm switching to a 15 pin ME126 mech, does this look right to you?

WibbleWobble
Hi RHM, That would appear to be correct to me, although I must say that I have only ever connected a 17 pin coin mech, but based on the info I think that this is how a 15 pin one would be connected. I would probably set the coin mech up and check the connections with a meter to ensure that you are getting the expected output. Pete

No1Stoney
If you have a 15-way mech, it will indeed not have 1 coin type (5p I'm guessing from what BF74 has said) which is coin 6 from the mech.
Road Hog Mad
OK, I'm awaiting the coin mech in the post and will reply back when it arrives, if all is well we'll know we can use this type of coin mech and we'll also have a wire diagram available for all to use. BF74 over at the Mecca is brill, when I had normal machines he reprogramed my existing mechs and they worked flawlessly with the new pound coins and even the new 10p. I have asked for my mech to be customised for my specific machine and that it only takes £1 and 20ps as I only have £1 and 20p hoppers and with limited space this makes more sense. Video here of inside I sent to bf74 https://youtu.be/DXwRRe8rR7Q. I also asked him to program tokens in as well so he's sending me £30 of tokens, I can set these up as I wish, so if I run out of pound coins, inserting a token will resemble a pound inserted. A mech reprogramed, £30 of tokens inlc. Postage £30. I think that's a cracking price!

No1Stoney
Looks smart. Very tidy. Did you make the MFME decal yourself?
Road Hog Mad
I went on one of those websites that do fancy graphics and just typed MFME and that was the result, I then downloaded it and sent it to one of those online printers (only had a black and white printer at the time). Couple of quid and that was the result (it used to say games warehouse). Where the buttons are at present it used to say Jukebox but i've since removed that! The idea was that it could form part of a jukebox as well but my retarded programmer mate didn't want to program the element of music for some reason.
