Only ever saw the one, it was in The Plough in Ramsey, in the bar side of the pub. Played like utter shit as well, I suspect it'd been done by a proficient player, this was before the days when I knew about numbering, of course.

Here I am putting a pound coin into it.

Thanks - really made me laugh that!!!!!!!!

To think once I wrote a program to convert USA 60hz to UK 50hz. In practice it would stretch the American games to fill the whole screen, rather than having that all to frequent black bar across the bottom.

can`t remember a thing now, literally threw away my collection about 10 years ago - what a plonker!

Yep, me to, it was one line of 68k.  move.w #0,$dff1dc to knock it to 60hz, or #20 to knock it back to 50hz.

  3. Sorry @Regforgot about this.

I've uploaded the UnExotica collection which has games and demos, games ones is pretty complete, but the demos side is pretty poor, anyway here it is -

    https://mega.nz/file/CYolXKBK#DVpdh2ZqmMeWTB2KnxH0gibDIukVcMvB2yF7ulBjXJc

I'll leave it up for about a week incase anyone else wants it.

Currently doing a site rip for the demo side of modules.pl, I'll upload them when I've got them all.   Doing a Wget script which only downloads one zip at a time, so this will take a day or two.

    You firkin sneaky barstitch.

I was going to say that one! :)

Pub talk on Andy Capp, "where do you think you're going lad"?  "fucking nowhere bitch" the pub would shout.  Happy misoginistic days.

Crystal Maze, me dad still plays it in MFME, and says with every board "you're locked in, you lose Billy Crystal".   After the 1000th time, it get's less funny.

  5. For the last few months, free time has been limted, got promoted to an systems analyst job, and haven't had any "proper" forum time at all hardly.

I still like all releases, but haven't had the time to comment, so just wanted to say a general thanks to all designers that released layouts this year.

Some nice new classics from Chloe, relentless DX releasing from Vecs, and some really great Dutch DX'es from Laylow, really worth checking out for seeing machines we know, but sort of done differently.  The usual quality we've come to expect from Pook, Tommy, Reg, Wearecity, Spa, Dougsta, MattyN, HTS and Andy-1, and a few others coming into releasing I see Ginge, Herber, Big J, Mavroz, SlotsMagic, MultiRetroMan etc.   Oh, and the German ones from Spidy1982 as well!

Sorry if I've missed you out.

    Thanks to you all.

  6. There's Amiga mods and there's the rest, Amiga was mainly 4 channel (unless you used Oktalyser).

All of these other so called amiga mods, aren't.

Eg., That might be called "amiga mods anthology", but it isn't.  S3M, XM etc, were PC mods ripped from PC demos.

There are Amiga only mod collections, like UnExoticA collection.

    Which is -

    1999 archives
    738 composers
    648 development teams
    303 game publishers
    86 demo groups
Over 3240 megabytes of classic Amiga tunes.

    https://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/UnExoticA

    ----

If you want them, I'll rar them up and upload them to Mega.

    ----

    Other places of note -

    http://amp.dascene.net/

    ^ massive.

    https://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Modland

^ has over 400,000 mods, in over 300 formats, so you can get them more obscure mod routines from musicians who used their own routines on the amiga, instread of a tracker type mod.

  7. Does anybody else, watch these incredible videos, and just smile, with a lovely warm comfort feeling?

Can't wait to have a play with this.  I mean, having a mixed arcade, having a mpu4 arcade, having an £100 area, or £500 area, or loads of lotechs areas or whatever, it's superb it really is.

  8. I do hope, a sticky carpet, coffee from a vending machine, tab ash, and MILFs (sex for tokens*) can be also implemented for the authentic Nobles, Quicksilver, Masons look of the 90's.

    * Or perhaps that was just mine.  £50 in tokens, put down in the book "good customer", for a quick knee tremble from the nymph staff.

Bonus second tech update of the day, since this is giving me strong arcade feels ;)

Done a quick video game attract mode stress test, it's nice and efficient, doing solid 60FPS with lots of performance to spare on my PC :)

    Fuck me static!

    Incredible, it really is.
