  1. What a great challenge. This game is one of the all time greats. Anirog did a pretty decent version of it on C64. I seem to recall playing the slower official Atari version as well. A friend got it free on cartridge when he bought a 128D! My soundtrack of choice for this game is "Planet Claire" by The B-52's - I made a cassette where it just repeated over and over for the whole side. Something about hearing that and trucking along blasting the flying saucers and jumping craters seemed to fit.
  2. Brilliant emulator. Have begun a playthrough of "MSR" on it and also started "Virtua Tennis" again. Was it really that long ago? So many memories.

    Bandersnatch

A long time ago I found myself sitting next to Eugene Evans of Imagine fame at a conference. Just in front of us there was a monitor facing the stage. During the break I asked him if he'd do a photo with me recreating the old 'megagame' advert and pointing to said screen. Of course, he said "NO!" and that was that. Thus ending my excellent future anecdote opportunity.
  4. Excellent to see. I miss the days when something as simple as the LOGO of an arcade game could generate excitement!
  5. Great to see the mentions of Quicksilva here. One of the regulars in my local used to be involved with that company. I once met Sandy and Angela who did "Ant Attack" as well. I was a big fan of Ultimate growing up. After reading Issue 5 of Newsfield's "The Games Machine" I quickly followed them onto the NES. The silver Ocean carrier bag I got from the 1987 PCW show lasted me a whole year at School as well!
