Going for the ambitious triple jackpot on the old 2p PCP machine Fruit Cracker - which is 300x stake if you can get it!

Hey Chops, I downloaded Fruit Cracker as it's a game i've never heard of and fancied a punt at it myself, however all the reel lamps are wrong, don't suppose you could upload the version you have which has the correct ones please, or let  me know what lamp numbers need to be for them to be correct so I can edit them manually. Cheers in advance! :)

    EDIT: I'm using 20.1 if that's any bother :D

did you know the meters weren't set on this they should be meter1-1, meter2-1

meter 3 n 4 added for the £8 token option

see image below also would it be ok to upload the amended version to this topic as made the correct red/blue seven symbols and added gradients etc to reels

Ah I hadn't checked the forum first, I commented about the meters on the YT channel :D

@vectra666 cheers for updating the reel symbols, the new alpha display is nice too, and upping it to 25p from 20p  play is a nice touch 👍

  3. @Chopaholic timing always impeccable :D gives me something watch a little bit later whilst enjoying Saturday night take away.. I did watch the first 10 mins or so already, I notice you had the same issue as me with Alice in Wonderlands meters (and i think all Gen 1 Reflexes are the same?) ... a reset of the game, or opening the service door will update the meters :)

  4. not sure if this counts as "fixed" or what, but whenever I download a new machine to play, i always like to start fresh and RAM clear.

Anyways, on RAM resetting all 3 slave machines on Golden Game 3 player link up (£25 jp version), put some cash in all 3, and all 3 followed the exact same pattern - even to the point where all 3 offered the wink nudges to the golden game at the same amount of credits played, all needing 9 nudges, and all 3 paid exactly the same amount, and the reel stops on the top board were also identical!

Obviously when you break the cycle, such as holding something different on one of the machines. Of course over time, all 3 slave machines will play differently as they're played by different people but I couldn't help wondering if this could be classed as "fixed" ?

  5. I've been wanting to do a big thank you too, to everyone involved - whether you're a layout designer, anybody who has provided resources over the years, the people that keep DIF and other FME sites running - you're amazing!  To everybody that talks and takes the time to reply to posts, or merely just read them over a cup of tea :D And of course, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Wizard and his amazing work over the years.

The past few week or so has been insanely fun, i've found so many machines that I remember from back in the early 90's, and this site and my love for old barcrests has been reignited after some 30 years - that's insane!

So yeah, just thought i'd say thank you to you all, the appreciation from me can not be put into words really, I'd like to buy you all a pint!

Sometimes the % is determined via the dip switches on older machines.

Sometimes it's worth trying to turn them on in the configuration screen.

It can also other do other settings, like auto payout and price of play.

Otherwise it could be worth trying others roms.

Most machines I remember back from the £4 era, had payouts of no greater than 78% and in many cases more like 70%-74%.

I certainly don't ever remember seeing a machine in the 90% area, low 80s at best.

the only older barcrests ive been able to change are games clubbers like Blackjack club, Club  Shuffle and Classic Club as the whole top row of dip switches alter the % from 72-88 (all 8 on for the 88%)

78% still played a great game in those days, what percentages were the big streakers set on if 78 I expect they took a fair bit after a token dump!!

and they still play better on those percentages than today’s tripe, my cash counter layout is bang on percentage then or nearly at 77.8%

oh  yeah, I've been playing Flash Cash and Blackjack quite a bit today - both unchangeable at 78% but both are immensly fun. Think i mentioned elsewhere, these old barcrests of the Flash Cash/BlackJack/Action Bank era are so much fun to play , always something going on, and so much entertainment compared to some of the borefests we have out there in the £500 video slot, or even the £100 reels era

  8. Tried it with Flash cash (which is the only one, when the door is open you can press start to check the target, still shows 78%)

I'll try a few more, but worse comes to the worse, lets be honest, can you imagine an old arcade running 10p/£4 games at 92% - they'd make next to no money, so i understand the low % being fixed :D

  9. A few i'd like to ask about - so on many of the old 10p/£4 barcrests like Flash Cash, Action Bank, Cash Zone and  Cash Counter.

Flash cash: Has a payout of 78% but cannot be changed via dip switches or the payout% drop down list - no matter what switches you flick, it stays at "Target 78.0" is there anyway of changing it?

Action Bank, Cash Zone and Cash Counter  dont' seem to have any way of even checking what %age its running at (i've even added an alpha display, but none of these 3 machines seem to have a way to show what %age they're running at) test mode doesn't seem to work either, and refill just shows "token refill" and thats it

any clues? do some of these old barcrest just have the one %age they run at?
