Evening all, hope everyone is well.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who has helped me along my way and a massive thank you to those that have uploaded to the site which has allowed me to download machines which have brought back some great memories.

I was just wondering if there is a thread or a list of the club machines which have been emulated and are available as I spent my teenage years in social clubs watching these bandits and when possible sneaking in a few quid. I remember once on a Sunday afternoon I went £5 in with a couple of the lads just old enough to play them legally, we hit the £200 jackpot and went straight in to town to the casino, £200 lasted about 8 spins on the roulette, lol gutted but great memory.

Anyway, would love to track down some of them mid 90's clubbers if anyone can help

hey, i miss the newbies thread so often and i'm glad you're loving the site.. as davep has mentioned legacy holds a database so full of fruits that brexit can't even empty them, just scroll through (c) for clubbers.. bfm, barcrest, jpm.. far too many to mention.. enjoy the site and welcome

I don't know the ins and outs of the empty for this. Never did one myself. Did you do any?

we had one on the pier, basically on 5p £5 it gives a 1 off the start after a certain amount of boards which iirc is 3 nudges, higher for extra 3 a jp there, or £3, it goes on this loop until empty.. iirc

    Hi and welcome!

For me theres no fave or most played as such - just a lot of the JPMS (Roller coaster, Sidewinder, Big Bucks , Impulse, Red Alert, Cracker, etc)  from £8 to £15 era and Barcrest (red hot Knights and its clones, Throw a Wobbler, Space Raiders,  Vamp it Up and clones) from the £15 - £25 era.  These, for me, are some seriously playable machines.

I like most of RED gaming just for old times sakes as well.....

I still am partial to the £15 games (when i played for real probably the first time) Spiker the Biker and such Barcrests, but hating the recent £100 cashgrabs now.

@adam434 these guys said it for me

AND WECLOME (still game doormat joke)

  4. it's fekkin paradise for this comparative n00b, always so much to learn, but since day dot.... a welcome part of the cats and blue movies i call the internet! the years of work, knowledge and desire to keep the equally best & worst of our youth is something to be humble for.. big ups to all the veterans, contributors and alike.

without mfme i'd be resigned to adding more tales of yesteryear and only my snippets of reminiscence to use for examples.

i regularly share the site to players and (still) sick addicts today as the joy really is for us (i'm confident in saying) invaluable. be it 2p to £500 and beyond there is more than can be put into words eloquently enough by me.

any newbies that read this please share your tales, say hello, i can assure you it's a nice place to be!!

It came to my attention whilst having a dabble on some of these fruit machines, that It was so rare to play a machine in real life with all the bulbs working, no buttons sticking etc. Part of the joy of playing machines back in the day was never knowing if you had more nudges that were lit up, or where exactly your skill-shot landed on the money climber. Not to mention the double nudges of reels when the button got stuck down! Anyway could it be an option to have random bulbs that don't work for a real authentic experience?😀

you name the release of mine you want broken and i'll break it and send it.. haha.. throw a wobbler by barcrest i made with a broken bulb, vecs has done some before, or maybe spill some tea on the keyboard... (strongly not advised) :)

Cheers Dave. I remember having teething issues getting the MAME cab to work smoothly (and it never did, 100%).

I'm still new to MFME, so have a lot to learn but hopefully it'll turn into something.

I've had a wee look but can't find anything in the forums on a builds section, to see what others have created. I'm probably being daft, but does anybody have a link please?

    Cheers

Is the a setup for older xp games for win 10?

maybe a ghost partition would help with xp setup files, but other than that i'm sure some .exe's will run cross platform and have been updated etc

  8. well i can confirm skyrim is porn, utter filthy porn.. i'm so glad i had experience of fallout before trying this though as it's just so much more intense and open to adaptations on your journey, the side quests etc will always be the same but how you explore is gobsmacking, so many choices, so yeah porn.

only just realised that frost damage isn't from the snow haha, i'm lv 16 and deliberately tried a few long distance miscellaneous tasks whilst stealing and xp'ing up my coin etc. haven't found a casino yet but i'm sure that won't spoil it hahaha

  9. I never got into clubbers sheerly because imo they were the same as a standard game but with nothing extra than cost and jp etc but in fairness the actual machine to be a fair increase in gameplay would be bigger than a snooker table ratio wise.

for me anything £6/8t £10/15 jpm or likewise barcrest. and the £5 empire versions of £10 originals, tbh the list goes on but mainly stays at that price area

Thought I would show a video how simple it is to now configure your screen layout, simple turn on the crosshairs increase the transparency and move things around on the fly.

I always wanted to add this feature but never had the time until now.

Now showing the touch controls but you already know you can move them to where you want them.

    you're a living legend buddy....

  11. hmmm, i know the bottom pac-man is not possible iirc, i'd like to do pulsation if it doesn't have a dx but the image looks hmmm.

pheonix one is a clone of cannonball run which im sure is there in legacy.

the other pac man one i've never seen along with up yer riggin irl. and open the box could be also undoable but i'm just posting coz pulsation is a red and i loves me reds, heave ho

I'm a bit of a sucker for console RPG's - never had a gaming PC.

The "Shining" games from sega on the Mega Drive and then the Saturn where awesome.  Shining Force 2 - still ranks as my all time favourite game - on any system - ever.

i'm with you on that, although i now have a gaming capable laptop the last games i played on the pc were command and conquer which is still fekking awesome

  13. just through the tutorials/start up stuff, looks like it plays like fallout in level/perks etc and the button functions are nearly identical so i feel comfortable already.

it has a lot of the things that i learnt to really enjoy besides the questing such as crafting and sourcing materials to acquire better weapons and variables etc

i have a lot to learn and long way to go but it's already got my affection!!
