I like what you are doing but some commentary on how you are exactly doing it would help and what's up with the alarm?

Believe it or not, I haven't got a microphone on my desktop! Some of these tricks and emptiers probably do require some commentary. The alarm is Barcrest's way of stopping machines from being completely emptied. When the machine has gone too far over percentage then it triggers the critical error.

football fever, treasure trail, ghost train, all empire<<<<

all global>>>> SPOTTED DICK, JIGGIN IN THE RIGGIN, BANGING AWAY.

those ones so far. hope that helps, i'll do my best to change things myself, i'm not bothered about the decals etc just the game play..

Jiggin In The Riggin does have a £5 layout in the gallery and downloads. It's Dx02 but it's wrongly listed as £15. So if you downloaded Jiggin Riggin then load Dx02. As far as I know, we don't have any £5 roms available for Spotted Dick which is a shame, so there certainly won't be a £5 layout. As far as Empire Games, there is a £5 rom for The Gambler but I'm sure I came across a £5 rom for Ghost Train.

  3. Tick the s door and then go into configurations and you can change the stake or jackpot. Some roms will allow multiple stakes and jackpots and others won't. You will get something like a stake key error if the rom won't allow for a particular stake or jackpot amount.

Which machines do you want to see £5 jackpots for out of curiosity?

Does Red Hot dond do the same trick as that has similar spin’ features too?

I have it on £100jp so may amend the original dx to decal 100 as it’s only the top cash decal to change afaik?

On DOND Red Hot when you need 2 more red boxes for red matrix, the machine can spin a 12 to land on the phone which opens the top board and that square changes to spin. Also I think the bonus can give taxi when you need 1 more red box.

This really does seem like a crazy one to me, it's either incompetence or corruption on the part of BFM (as indeed are all these things). On the one hand it seems almost unbelievable that they didn't see the problem with a game design of 'infinite hi-lo gambles' on a complex hi-tech machine with loads of mechanics available to cheese the gamble when the machine finally sees the risk.

Or maybe they did see the problem and punted it out there, knowing what would happen and that a load of players would make bank, before they dialled it in with a rechip, and knowing full well that there would be no consequences.

Depending on who you listen to these things are all accidents, or they're sometimes accidents and sometimes corruption.

Yes I did this method in the video as it was chipped out early doors on £70 and I'd lay money on them being none out there in the wild, unchipped, on £70.

I've had the £100 trap explained to me a couple of different ways, including one that still works on £100 chip Perfects that are out there now, but I wouldn't do that in a video.

The way to trap £100s is the same as the later £70s. I still know of a £70 Perfect Deal in an arcade.

  6. There are no early program Perfect Deals about anymore but there are still some later program £70s and of course the £100 version. So it's probably "forbidden" in the fruit machine laws to do a video showing the revised playing method for later £70s and £100, much like Power Play in that respect. I know Power Play cannot be emulated but revealing the playing method on these could get you into a lot of trouble!!!

There is a lot more to the revised method involving swapping stakes at the right time and getting the cash pots etc. The bonus comes into play again though, both for gaining the red matrix and going for the cash pot.

  7. Here is a video showing a Golden Game running on the early 1.2 program roms. I emptied a few of these back in the day. Basically don't hold red xs for the £5 win and just hold xs with the Golden X. The £5 xs win pot builds up and it will keep giving the Golden Game most of the time when you hold the Golden X. You can take nudge in £5 wins and it doesn't matter if it throws a win straight in. There are reel positions where you can setup the Golden X on the line. The main setup is the bar 1 or 2 above the win line.

I saw some guys plug one in a local arcade to me, they got it into demo play mode, if I remember correctly it was on free play and the balance would go into negative figures, if you could get the bank with a positive balance it would actually let you collect these wins.

About 15 years ago I saw some guys messing around with Party Games in an arcade. One of them was kind of bald and making weird noises and there was a tall one with dark hair and a younger one with glasses who was driving a Golf. I used to see them a few times in arcades around the east coast. Apparently they came from Skegness or Grimsby.

I’m not even sure if you need to refuse 3 invincible boards.  Wonder how it responds by just refusing jackpot boards?

    J

Possibly, but I have tried the method refusing 1 red board and then going in the middle on the 2nd red board and the streak gave something between £15 and £25.

  10. I think the layout on the legacy section uses the FBOY 0.3 roms which is a later program. There are FBOY 0.1 roms in one of the downloads from loo.

I'm sure the feature can go red even after landing on a ? and getting skill continue. You need at least 3 red boards for the middle streak to give £45 - £60. After you killed off the 3rd red board then you can just let the machine go in for the middle streak.

So basically I've been playing this as a casual player would more or less - taking decent wins, etc.

Anyway about 290 in it gave an IM out of the blue so I decided to do the method again. 5 IMs later (the second took ages to come in) I took a cash streak for 55 I think it was. With the odd small wins I had to take I probably came out less than 20 up on that session.

I can't see how you can do these without probably needing the plug at some point. One board i had went into the middle pretty quick (not IM) and I never got the chance to nudge away a JP symbol and didn't have many nudges but the cash repeater was active. I had to take a £4 win that time.

The second red board always took a while on those later programs. When you take the cash repeater, the machine gives you a chance to get the next higher cash amount. Being that buzzed up, it will often win that gamble just to mess you up even more.

I do have Pure Madness £100 on my Magic Party (Novomatic / Astra cab, same cab as iPub), will have to have a session on it. Also has the original Bar X game on £100 jackpot, had £100 hold yesterday for £200. Prefer the range of lo-techs on this to my T777, although that does have original Clockwork Oranges (£70 JP I think) whereas the Magic Party cab has Clockwork Oranges 'Five Alive'?. Also has Cops N Robbers themed copy of Casino Crazy Fruits, and some interesting other games, along with the usual 'community' lo-techs with dings for wild reels.

[edit] Just had a quick go on it. It's got the 'Name Fill' thing on it, a bit like the Bar X Extreme and similar. Didn't have a long session but was interesting nonetheless. Have attached a quick photo of it anyway!

Also, despite me saying £100, it's an odd one. It seems to be £25 jackpot on any stake, but does upgrade the values of the symbols somehow - when on the feature my £25 bells upgraded to £50?? Weird. Never a big fan of long sessions on lo-techs in arcades except for things like Bullion Bars, must have been stung a few times on some of the volatile lo-techs in the old days and it put me off them!

    madness.jpg

There are some Pure Madness cabinets about where the bells are £70 Jackpot. It includes the name fill feature as well.

  13. On later programs, the feature board will start 1 cash and 1 feature when the machine is dead. This means that the machine will often lose the gamble after you step to a 3 or 10. On this early program, the gamble should never lose when you step to a 3 or 10 and you can see this in the video. Basically they never programmed the machine to go in a dead state!

These roms were provided to us here by loo. They are in one of his uploads. Actually I might have got them from Mecca forum when he stopped posting them here for a little bit. It's either here or Mecca anyway!
