To think once I wrote a program to convert USA 60hz to UK 50hz. In practice it would stretch the American games to fill the whole screen, rather than having that all to frequent black bar across the bottom. can`t remember a thing now, literally threw away my collection about 10 years ago - what a plonker!

Dear Chris, You have no idea how much pleasure I`ve had running classics from my youth. None of this would have been possible without you. Cheers, and may you rest in peace. You will never be forgotten. Gary

Incredibly sad news. His emulator has given me more pleasure than i can remember. booting up old classics like razzle dazzle have always put a smile on my face. Having grieved in the past myself, my heart felt condolences go to his family. When the dust has settled, I would love to hear from his friends here about his journey with mfme, and he love of retro gaming. Thank you Chris, may you rest in peace.

it really does depend on the judge, as al lot of their attitudes are that the arcade owners are the only thieves in the room.

i did a 4-reeler DOND original when they came out. (actually thats a lie, they were on the brink of being removed before my group found out), but anyway. i had already taken £200 out of the £250 hopper and the landlord walked passed and said "the only reason im letting you do it, is because you and the guy last night bunged me £20 too..." should of seen his face when i banked it for 20 and said there you go!

* i followed on with a c64 and then saved heavy to get the Amiga 500 for £399 (bundled with shit i might add..) then a B2000 and on to the a1200 tower, 030 32GB ram, HD CDrom etc. etc. etc. basically, when i went to Pcs, it was so similar it was uncanny. now running a home built 8 core, water cooling etc. etc. next ? hmm

the rubber keyed zx spectrum with a mere 16k was my first computer. i forked out for the 32k ram pack so i could play jet set willy.
