  1. Have a good look in the legacy downloads sections, especially for Barcrest, BFm and JPM..... loads there and most will either have club in the title or (c) after the title. One of my faves - from my years as an 18 year old in the casino - is Cash on the Nile Enjoy
  2. Depends for what reason... when I was a hopeless addict losing every penny... anything with flashing lights got me. As I began to know what I was doing..... Almost all Barcrests from the £10 to £25 Era, £10 - £15 JPMS and I have always liked the £25 - £70 Red gaming offerings. Faves to actually play though.... ....in no particular order........ Roller Coaster Giant Jackpots (Project lo tech) Ceasars Palace Sylvester the Jester (Barcrest failed test) Pot of Gold
  3. I play on a low spec laptop - and occasionally - but only occasionally suffer this - Usually on processing sequences like the JP on Indiana Jones with all its blended lamps. Also, If i do have anything running other than the emulator this can happen.. ( I often have a city building game running) or if I drag across the reels with my mouse. For me such incidents are very few and far between - and don't negate my enjoyment whatsoever....
  4. This is basically the equivalent of asking what are the best chocolates? Or who is your favourite football team.... Basically my faves will not be the same as others. Need to narrow it down a tad.
  5. My mate had one in his lounge for about five years......
  6. And an awesome game it is as well!
  7. @adam434 Might want to try Hot Slot on £10 or £15 from barcrest... was very like red hot roll but a much better program than just the JP updates to red hot roll itself.....
  8. Yeah - cos Arcadia / Cracker and a fair few other JPM's of this era are anti force. After your £200 in though..... you should be able to get ALL the owed value in the next £60-70 purely by collecting the max value per board......... They are beautiful games - but very very very very player orientated.....
  9. Hi and welcome! For me theres no fave or most played as such - just a lot of the JPMS (Roller coaster, Sidewinder, Big Bucks , Impulse, Red Alert, Cracker, etc) from £8 to £15 era and Barcrest (red hot Knights and its clones, Throw a Wobbler, Space Raiders, Vamp it Up and clones) from the £15 - £25 era. These, for me, are some seriously playable machines. I like most of RED gaming just for old times sakes as well.....
  10. I'm not quite a newbie... but I honestly don't recall!!!! Mad,,,,,, @Chopaholic youtube vids may have been the source for me. As @woodsy says... when i do bump into my old playing comrades I let them know about it and encourage them to come play.... especially those i have done since the £8 Era.........
  11. So... the Chase is on... the one i refer to earlier... also has JP symbols (and will give the £100 on the reels if forced)...... And - as @Wildmanslots allludes to... is a MUCH better game experience than the standard BETCOM fodder.
  12. Yeah - said i wasn't sure Not so many of The Chase round here.... only ever seen two.......
  13. @Wildmanslots Many thanks for that long and detailed explanation. Yes - in my experience, the latest Chase (with a 100JP win symbol) was a huge huge improvement on standard Betcom fodder. Much more enjoyable to play - either on an out and out force - or just for fun collecting things. Many more decentish features, the third and forth levels of streak being reasonably achievable... much much fairer deal offers.... wins between £8 and £25 which would repeat...... and of course a physical deal reel so no dodgy look what you could have won! In a way - seemed to play like a number of Reflexes which are fair and fun - as long as not playing out and out for a JP. Thins like Jungle Bucks, Drac pack (i think thats the title) Valley of the Kings and a few others. I really liked this machine - shame this was thier last hurrah - cos they may have managed a huge improvement.
  14. So... the Chase (the one with £100 JP symbols) had a manipulatable flaw in the program..... Was this also one of the reasons for Betcoms final demise? Like may other manufacturers before them they failed to release something completely player proof? This isnt bullshit BTW - i made excellent money for a decent length of time on one of these.
  15. But is it the "Smelly Cat" from friends?? We need to know these things.......
  16. Maybe not new software - but new artwork and a license fee to ITV / Endemol to boot! Betcom weren't paying a license fee for Baking Bad and all those. At the time of the death knoll for AWP's - i'm surprised they were forking out money for licenses.
  17. Exactly... at a time when the industry was on its knees... I find it pretty amazing - especially as they are so poor. The DOND itself success was the fruit machines second coming - and last hurrah - but an insanely popular (even now) mech for non players.
  18. I find it pretty amazing Betcom managed to do three separate AWP's based on The Chase.....
  19. I've mentioned this before.... like the top two lamps on Test Your strength missing...... One of the replies I got was that Chis (R.I.P.) always wanted to see perfection in the emulator - and I respect that.
  20. I have a redial DOND at the moment where only one light works on the DOND values..........
  21. Great video... on an amazing all time great game.
  22. Love the approach here @JPM555 Kudos! Yeah - I give a tenner a year - plus the odd extra one when i can afford. The VFM is out of this world! and while I am here - a big shoutout and thank your to all the dedicated releasers who keep up the awesome work purely for the love of the scene. Enjoy 2023 - the normal download section, and of course the Legacy downloads, will keep you entertained til the cows come home....
  23. AFAIK - the Dragon 32 (and its bog brother the 64) first machines to have keys on the keyboard rather than rubber buttons......
  24. The Dragon 32! I owned one of these beauts.... even had a fruit machine game on it!! Quest - best game ever...
  25. That version is in the legacy - it runs on lates version as well
