Thanks guys. Good to know your thoughts. I have just picked up a new Picade for £50 still boxed so thought I would use this as I already used one for a small mame cab in portrait using a 15" 4:3 monitor. Turned out really good actually. I will upload some pics of how it turned out. I had to take the monitor out of its casing and modify the cabinet slightly. Here's just a library pic -

Please don't laugh! I'm thinking of using an old ION Icade cabinet (see pic) I would change the buttons for small fruit machine ones with the neccesary boards and use a small touchscreen monitor in portrait around 15". I'm not sure what ration suits mfme better 4:3 or 16:9? I would expect the screen to be slightly wider that the cabinet which will be fine and would have to cut the top and sides slightly. Can someone please advise? Thank you

I've tried holding "V". I've tried holding "F9". I've tried holding "left alt" and "F9" yet still nothing ! Can anyone tell me please how to create videos? My settings are below. Any help much appreciated ! Thanks

Little late to the party and loving Touch-Play so far. Couple of questions... Anyone know what folder I add any icons for each machine like this one? How do I update Touch-Play? Even though I've just installed, it says there's an update available :- Thank You

Okay so this problem is all sorted now If anyone else comes across it :- Must click the "SAVE" button on the settings menu (bottom right) initially when first booting up even if not changing any settings. I guess it creates a much needed file ? :-

Windows 10. Tried 2 different windows 10 pcs. One is a fresh install. all up to date. Initially FruitBar opens so I can set the path to mfme and games but when I then try to reopen it, it never works. Just get the access violation error message

Can you please elaborate on exactly what you did. Sorry I don't quite understand. You say you clicked save on the mfme setting then restarted?

No I'm using a 4k TV on the new PC and a 1080p monitor on the other. I'm outputting 1920x1080.

Yeah same here. So Fruitbar cannot be ran once setup. I also get the same error trying to run some machines from launchbox. Running them directly works fine.

This is such a strange problem. I've tried 2 different win 10 pc's. One is a fresh install. Both fully updated. Direct X installed. Doesn't matter where I run fruit bar from. Tried changing DEP setting. I've tried following many guides I've found online but makes no difference. I don't know what else to do

Thanks for that other version however just tried and still getting error (see pic). Funnily enough I'm also getting this same error with some games in mfme through launchbox. The games seem okay playing direct from mfme just not from launchbox. So annoying !

Tried the below but did not work as it said I cannot turn off DEP for this program (FruitBar). The Unhandled Exception Access Violation error often appears in Windows 10, 8, and 7 when trying to run a program and can often be a quick fix. If you were curious, the geeky explanation is that the program that you're trying to run attempted to access a protected memory address and was denied access. Yeah. Here are the three possible fixes in order of what might work best for you first. Disable Data Execution Prevention for that program Data Execution Prevention is designed to protect you from viruses as well as assist in memory management. As we mentioned above, if the program somehow executed memory in the wrong way, then DEP might be the cause of the Unhandled Exception Access Violation. If you trust the program, disable DEP just for that program. Click on Start, Run or click the Windows+R keys and type in sysdm.cpl. This opens the System Properties Window. Now go to Advanced, and click on Settings under Performance. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab. As you can see in the image above, you have two choices. All you need to do is select the box that says "Turn on DEP for all the programs and services except those I select." Now, click on "Add" and browse to the executable of the program that won't run.

I've decided to use a real carcass and have a curved 48" or 50" Samsung 4k telly inside as feel it would give a great sense of depth. I'm on the lookout for a cab in Cornwall so if anyone has possibly a faulty machine? Has anyone else actually done this? I've seen a few with pc monitors but wondered if anyone has actually used a large telly. I would be planning on using the original machines buttons and adding a trackball for buttons up the top as large 4k touchscreen monitors are expensive plus like the curved idea. I would hopefully use the coin mech. Any tips from anyone who has done similar would be great

So as you can see I just installed Fruitbar. I know I need to put the images in the theme folders however I have this error that keeps popping up. Also is it possible to add themes manually as site seems down. Any ideas? Thanks

So I changed the scaling to 100% and it fixed it. if I change it to anything other than 100% I can only select low resolutions in mfme. Very annoying and writing is all very small.
