  1. Ha very easy! The Big Breakfast. (Are we supposed to put the answers in the thread or PM you?)
  2. Sorry Chris I was against the clock somewhat, didn't think I'd be doing a video at all but found myself with a bit of spare time so decided to grab the opportunity. In fairness I don't actually know what to do in order to fix the layouts, so I'd be experimenting with reel offset values and suchlike, all the while with my limited time window to get the recording done trickling away. If I'd have known I was doing the video ahead of time I'd have made an effort to get the layouts sorted beforehand, but as it was I basically just had to do with what I had. (I didn't realise they'd look like that in 5.1 TBH.) I do specifically offer an apology to you in the video for playing layouts in that state
  3. Ahhh right it's missing sound ROMs, that's probably why I didn't pay much attention. Me no like mute layouts.
  4. Ahhh yes I see there's a Tommy £6 DX of Popeye from a few years ago, that had passed under my radar, cheers for the heads up! I didn't know there was a layout at all for Treasure Hunt though, where did you get that from? I can't see it on Fruit-Emu. (You can just zip things up and attach them to your post here ) EDIT - I see there's a 'beta' layout of it at Fruit-Emu from ages ago, it appears I missed that one!
  5. Managed to grab a bit of time to get this done EDIT - Chris, you may want to look away for this one, the reel offsets are all wrong and everything......
  6. So I've done a full year, and there are 142 public videos on the channel. From now on, things will slow down a bit:
  7. Remember how hateful it was to put a load of real money into a fruit machine and be rewarded (occasionally) with a massive pile of stupid tokens if you ever actually managed to win something? Well the Isle of Man said SCREW YOU BENNY, and mandated that all prizes would be all cash, all the time. Here is my story of that realisation.
  8. Don't be daft Pook, seeing that there's potential for a Pook DX of That's Life after all these years is tremendously exciting! I don't think about things in terms of us 'upstaging' each other in any way or anything like that, all of us still left on the scene are clearly here for the love of it so anything that that's part of that is fantastic as far as I'm concerned TBH I'm just really glad that FME has entered this late summer stage of its existence, I honestly never thought it'd happen.
  9. CONTENT WARNING - Features a small amount of singing. Rounding off the current M1a/b series of videos, here I take a good look at the original 'Green' Monopoly, a Maygay/BWB partnership Simpsons machine, and the more obscure (but awesome) That's Life. They're £6 jackpot-tastic! (Apart from The Simpsons, which has a £3 jackpot. D'oh!)
  10. 32 inch, 3840x2160. TBH I can't see me bothering rotating it in future, it's completely unusable for anything else in that orientation, and even in landscape mode the sheer size of it means it gives a very good FME experience. Was nice as a one-off though
  11. That's in full-screen stretched mode, in full screen MAX mode it doesn't actually use a huge amount of the vertical real estate
  12. Many thanks to Ploggy for the DX itself, and also his help with some extra background info to help flesh out the details of how this layout finally came to be!
  13. This monitor does swivel through 90 degrees
  14. A rather fundamental piece of information to omit..... It was this fella here, still available at EBuyer for £500. Very nice screen for £500, and you definitely don't want to go smaller than 32 inch at 4K as you'll need to start using scaling to be able to read text and stuff, which would rather negate the point of the whole endeavour. https://www.ebuyer.com/810693-lg-32ud89-w-32-class-4k-uhd-ips-led-monitor-32ud89
  15. I've been after one of these buggers for a while.....
  16. My pleasure Pook My only regret is that I haven't even loaded in the vast majority of those layouts, oh for a time a machine back to 2001 when I had the ability to spend hours and days doing nothing apart from FME and arguing on forums I'd give my left bollock for Money Mountain sound ROMs though * * Note, willingness to lose a bollock may have been overstated.
  17. A bit of a Pook celebration and lots of chatter and play for The Jurassic Trail.
  18. I just used the layout I had in my FME collection, not sure if it was an updated version or not, it ran fine in V5.1 of the emulator though. (Doors closed.) In fact, you can see in the video that the layout version is 1.0 which suggests the original should be fine,
  19. I am quite the archivist, I can restore a copy of my PC's 'My Documents' folder from late 1999 I haven't kept everything over the years, be it FME or anything else, but things I felt might be of future significance have gone into my digital museum. That thread did go on a bit!
  20. The same old M1a/b Club Monopoly machine that basically started Fairplay? There's some real FME history!
  21. Time to get back to the fruit machine emulation with another three classic M1a/b Maygay AWPS
  22. No fruit machine emulation video this week I'm afraid, but I have started using fruit machine music for the text/stats sections at the end of my online slots videos, and the layout running in MFME as the backdrop. No worry about the YouTube copyright boss (well, apart from Big Bucks, apparently.....), and I think it works rather well. Here's a direct link to the fruit machine bit at the end of this video.
  23. Part 2 in the series, don't expect fun though.....
