  1. Will do Reg, I don't want to just upload stuff like that as I appreciate it's from an, ahem, 'sensitive' period in the scene's history.....
  2. This was one of the cache of layouts that only ran on the leaked versions of the emulator, V9.4 and V10.1 I have both the layout and appropriate version of the emulator here, will upload if there is no objection from Reg or Wizard. The layout will not run on any version of the emulator currently available for download from DIF.
  3. But the whole thing is so small anyway (I doff my cap to Wizard for his incredibly lean and effective coding!), I don't see any reason not to just have the latest version available to download here, rather than rely on the updater. (If there is a reason and I'm not seeing it, then someone please correct me! :) )
  4. Wouldn't it make sense to simply have the latest version of MFME hosted directly on DIF, rather than rely on the updater? (The updater can still be there too, of course.) It has always occurred to me as being a slightly worrying dependency on the updater working correctly to get the emulator to the correct version following an initial install. Let's imagine a worst case scenario where Reg wins the lottery and buys himself a trip on Elon Musk's spacecraft thingy, but then there is an accident in space and Reg is stuck orbiting the earth forever. Something goes wrong with DIF after Reg has got stuck in space, and an MFME fan needs to rebuild their PC. They have a backup of the V19 installer which they run to get MFME V19 on their system, but with no backend for the updater to connect to, they are unable to ever get back to the latest version.
  5. I'm going to try and get more specific info, but from the sounds of it, this was indeed a full empty!..... I did say in the video that it seemed pretty dangerous to me to have a feature that is guaranteed to always offer a jackpot, especially on a £70 machine and via a feature that isn't explicitly blocked if the machine is behind percentage.....
  6. According to the some of the early comments left on the video, there was a way to read the box and it was a full emptier!.....
  7. Cheers Reg As per the video I think it just makes sense to send people here, to an actual FME community, rather than me trying to give out piecemeal bits of advice in YouTube comments, plus of course folks here are more knowledgeable than me and will probably have better advice anyway! Besides which of course, the more people involved in the scene, the better!
  8. Trail Blazer and The Heat Is On caught my eye in the last week.....
  9. Sorry for the gap between FME videos, have some New York New York....
  10. This is the Criss-Cross Cash video, eventually the machine clams up to such an extent that it costs more than £3 to get a win, and it completely stops repeating on £3, so even if you can read the 'fair play' hi/lo reel and take every win out to the £3 repeater, you'll still lose. It does at least prove that it's possible to control a compensated AWP without cheating the player on the hi/lo gamble, but of course becomes increasingly difficult to do as the jackpot gets bigger. (Imagine such a model on £100 jackpot AWPs.....) There was also a Barcrest £4.80 machine called GAMBALL which used a little bingo ball popper in the top of the machine to give a genuinely fair, random hi/lo gamble, so potentially every single win, even 40p, could be gambled to the £2.40 repeater, but again this becomes non-viable with bigger jackpots.
  11. Here's my 'intro' if you will for Fishsta's video, and explanation as to why I haven't covered it myself on my own channel. Give Fishsta's video a watch, it's really good!
  12. Thankfully this was pretend money!.....
  13. Yes it was a Reflex, it's in the right cabinet there. Had three of them round here at one point.
  14. Cheers Tommy, that's a shame as it had a 'thing' on it and would have made for a decent video. Thanks for checking
  15. Hi all, I'm guessing (hoping....) this is Scorpion5. Don't suppose the ROMs are out there or (even better) a layout that I've missed? Thanks
  16. Sorry for the dearth of FME content on the channel recently folks, I'm laying the blame squarely at Hearthstone's door.....
  17. Unfortunately I can only really follow what I'm into at any given time! I do have a few FME videos 'ready to go' in my mind as it were, it's just a case of spending the time to get them recorded and then edited together
  18. Here's my excuse for FME videos being somewhat thin on the ground recently.....
  19. Ahhh right that explains it, when I went to put money in to start the actual gameplay, nothing happened! (You might have noticed a jump in the video there, as I edited out the bit where I was wondering why no credits were going in, and it goes straight from attract mode to 5 credits after I'd reloaded the layout.) Hope I got the technical stuff about the 68000 correct
  20. Sticking with early 90s curiosities for this video
