Check  reel 3 in properties to see if this (red arrow) inverted opto is ticked,if so uncheck it, as that's what the error means

it should be the same  settings as reel 1 and 2.

Thanks guy's, will try this out tomorrow, been scratching my head over this one myself.👍🙂

  2. One question, will the arcade in future get to the point where the machine's are played via others, as in will each time we go to the arcade simulator have the machine in an unpredictable manner just like a real arcade?

That would be the absolute pinnacle I reckon, the idea of each visit and the machine is in an entirely different state of play.🤔 To me that's the main downside of MFME so far, the fact the machine is always as it was left. Absolutely so impressed so far, really is one cool project.🙂

we had one on the pier, basically on 5p £5 it gives a 1 off the start after a certain amount of boards which iirc is 3 nudges, higher for extra 3 a jp there, or £3, it goes on this loop until empty.. iirc

Wish I'd known this back in the day.

What machines are the best ones, I am looking for an assortment if possible

Best way is to just randomly pick one, so many great machines emulated on here it's really to much to list, I'm working my way through all of them. You'll be amazed, you'll find machines you don't really know of and realise just how good they are.

  5. Don't forget sticky buttons on machines were some kids dropped ice lolly over it and it decides it is going to properly stick at a pivotal moment. Ah, the good ol' days, lower than a 12, goes to a 2 for jackpot and button wedged lower.😬😂

Not quite sure how the donations procedure fully works.. I have sent £10 via PayPal (although it's my wife's PayPal). Do I need to let anyone know that I have sent a donation, or is it done automatically?

    Hi everyone,

First of all happy new year to all and let's hope it will be a good year.

I just made a donation of 10 pounds to the site, but cannot download as of yet.

How long does it take to process the donation and activate the downloads again ?

    best regards,

    reggert48

Should find it will be sorted in maybe 24 hours, I guess it depends on site admin being online at what time, bit shouldn't take long. May take slightly longer as admin update all the badges and the like at this time of year, sure it will be sorted soon though, this site is on the ball with all that kind of thing.

    Bonjour,

les jeux sont trops sombres comment éclairer ?

    merci,

Still can’t believe those things are allowed in the family sections of arcades , they won’t allow kids to play £5 slots yet these are on show everywhere.

what’s the actual percentage of these pieces of shite? And does anybody actually win the £50 top prize?

It is insane. The terrible video of Butlins I found last week had a few of these. Lowest Jackpot I ever saw on one of these was £20, and that was years ago. I'd bet percentage is really quite low, although I'm sure they advertise more than the percentage actually is, I mean how many arcades went and changed every single payout notice on the glass when cost of living crisis hit...likely not many and its obviuos the only thing to do to try to stay afloat is minimum payout possible. I should add the one machine of this kind I saw years ago was not in over 18's section either and was available to be played by anyone of any age.

REDS were fantatsic - but  a pure players machine - if they were evil to you - they were just being covered by local player(s) I made by bread and butter off reds for a long time......

I was far from a pro, but Red Gaming were gold mines on busy resorts.

  10. £4.80 - £15 was my favourite time. £5 - £25 era was good for the most part, £35 +, I'd stopped playing.

Been playing some older stuff in the emulator and have to say £1.50 - £3 era is pretty awesome, machines I saw on family days by the sea in younger years that never would imagine I'd one day play, but thanks to emulation we have it all.🙂

  11. I've just had a Google. Manafactured by Supernova, pretty confident there isn't a section for that so unlikely to be emulated unless in a different section as there is a section for games etc, Desert Island Retro which I haven't really explored yet, but it's a long shot as it looks quite a modern variant as well.

I doubt that has been emulated, but I could be wrong. Watched a video of Butlins with the arcade about a week ago, lol, now I know what was along one wall...it was these things.

If you know the manafacturer, check out the legacy section, I often forget to look there myself.

  13. I guess I got the wrong impression.😂

Just saw the negative comments regarding Fruit-Emu and assumed it was a kind of rivalry or dispute that may be wider. Should have remembered that assume saying of it makes an ass out of you and me.

Good to know the community as a whole is actually very cooperative, I did hear it was a bit wild west back in the day.

As for members of Fruit-Emu, have many came over to here? I'm amazed there is'nt a far bigger community than there is, deserves a far bigger following, its an interactive museum.

I plan to make Youtube videos at some point, not about tricks or methods, Degsy and Cheerful Pessimist are infinitely more knowledgable on that front, watching their videos makes me feel like a complete cluey.😂 I plan on making vdeos kind of reviewing the machines and just playing them while talking in a standard fashion like the majority would play. Idea is to make videos whereby its a look back to the times that were different and also focus on the tourist industry and seaside as well, kind of a trip down British seaside holiday memory lane. I want to try and drum up interest in those that would'nt actively seek out emulation and appeal to those with fond memories of the seaside holiday from their youth etc. Obviously I will check for permission before using any layouts.

  14. What are the odds of the various sites pooling resources and uniting to a degree?

I must admit, being new to the scene it's probably a bit out of place for me to comment really, but does seem there is rivalry, competition, distrust and possibly grudges against certain sites.

Wouldn't it be possible for the leaders of these sites to kind of maybe form an alliance etc where resources and content can be shared across all, kind of like a round table of emulations leaders and creator's?

I do see Fruit Emu get ripped a bit on here for example, and I've no idea why, although I'm certain there are reasons which are valid. Seems like if somehow these sites could reach a common understanding we could likely really benefit as a community no matter which site we belong to.

Seems kind of crazy when one site has ROM's and another say artwork or sound ROM's that they are possibly sat idle while awaiting all the ingredients to turn up at specific site. Also emulation really probably hasn't even really begun yet, I didn't even know it existed until 5 minutes before signing up here. I think it's a thing that hasn't reached peak growth yet, bit as the arcade slowly does a complete death, well the fruit machine especially, it's likely to really become far more popular even of from a historical curiosity to some.

Like I say, I don't know the reasons, and I hope I haven't spoke out of place. Despite being new to the scene it's really something that I wish I knew about sooner, the fact all this exists is absolutely incredible and is much appreciated. I only speak out of wanting this to continue to thrive and be around for all those others that would so desperately appreciate the hard work and genius of Wizard and the incredible artists who make it so.

11 posts in near 5 years and you are wondering why it has gone like this.

    Members here call that leeching!

Site donation should be mandatory I think, and possibly MFME player technically a subscription for first 3 year's and then you have licensed copy. I'm only new myself, but I can see how people get pissed off with people coming along, taking and never see any activity again. Maybe a set subscription every 6 months with a discount for those actually contributing to forum activity.🤔
