Have a look at this guide that Reg put together. I've just ordered buttons and a PACdrive so hoping to have the buttons flashing in no time, looks pretty straight forward. The coin mech and hoppers on the other hand looks like some kind of sorcery to me!!!

Hi Wizard, It was probably a coincidence then. I'd done a lot of messing around tbh, ran as admin, updated directX and visual C runtimes. Strange thing was that the update went from 19.4 to 19.5 then failed, then went back to 19.4. It was after this that I re-installed DirectX and rebooted. Something along the way must have worked as I ran the update again and it went to 19.8 Thanks very much for creating this software. I've had so much fun in the last few days playing some old fruits, takes me back to the days when I first discovered MAME. Vox

Hi All, I'm a bit late to this party but thought I'd chip in as I had this same issue trying to update. No matter what I did it wouldn't update past 19.5 I managed to update after re-installing the DirectX runtimes https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8109 (link from Reg's tutorial) Re-installed DirectX - Rebooted PC - Update was successful. Hope this helps someone who's still running an old version. Vox
