    Atari: Game Over

Atari: Game Over is a 2014 documentary film directed by Zak Penn about the North American video game crash of 1983, using the Atari video game burial excavation as a starting point, Did E.T the game kill Atari?? Great watch this for those that haven't seen it before.
  2. Reg, am sure i have seen it when i was having a look for others but cant find it now if that makes sense.
  3. Rhyl is tiding its self up now but it will never be the same as when we was kids going on day trips there and mum and dad playing bingo all day in the arcades and seen you neighbor from down the street there on a day trip as well and if we was lucky got to stay in a caravan up towyn/blackcat. Good days my friend. i do go to towyn to take the kids who are 4 and 8 ya its a bit of a shit hole but to a kid, like we was once the joy of the arcades and the fair, the beach. Also for me brings memories back when i went with mum and dad who i dont have anymore. i just wanted to show them what we did when we was kids.

  12. Teletext if i remember rightly not every tv could get it?? in the early days as can never remember me dad using it, when we had a tv!!!
  13. Yes remember these very well in late 70's also came free in cereal boxes. Now this last one don't like to point the finger of maybe untrue rumors but don't think this would sell now
  14. What have these two items got in common? The TV and the wire coat hanger. Using the coat hanger as an aerial and having to move the thing every time you turn the tv over, And the tv had that twisty knob to turn the channel over so you wasn't sure if you was on the right channel anyway Plus an added bonus how to use one on your car with your two knob stereo.
  15. Caps for guns It was always cowboys and indians when growing up but as a cowboy you had to have caps in your gun. Also rubbing a stone on them so they would make them go bang. Plus always remember going Rhyl in north wales as this was the place for us stoke lot back in the 70s - early 80's and the seaside shops used to sell keyring cap guns.
  16. Dempsey and Makepeace 1985 - 1986 Jim Dempsey, a New York cop, angers a powerful mob figure and is sent to London for safekeeping. Dempsey is partnered with Harriet Makepeace, a British detective who's not too sure about her new partner.

  18. And i cant believe they still sell this stuff Denim.
  19. Give Us A Clue. Give Us a Clue was a British televised game show version of charades which was broadcast on ITV from 1979 to 1992. The original host was Michael Aspel from 1979 to 1984, followed by Michael Parkinson from 1984 to 1992. The show featured two teams, one captained by Lionel Blair and the other by Una Stubbs Now i often find myself playing this with other drivers who peep there horn and they start waving there arms in the car.
