  4. White Arrow. The days when parcel delivery was easy not like today's cowboys. Used by catalogue company's back in the day to deliver and collect returns. If you remember you had a white arrow card you placed in your window if you had a return, the guy would knock on/or if you was out you left on the door step, he would collect everyone's happy. The good old days.
  5. That was hard TBH pickled my head the last 24 hrs.
  6. Jaws 1975 (Ideal) The players put all the junk pieces in the shark's mouth. The weight of the pieces keeps the mouth open. Using a gaff hook, each player then attempts to remove a junk piece from the shark's opened mouth. The first player to successfully remove four junk pieces wins. However, if a player takes a wrong move, the shark's mouth will snap shut. If only two players are playing, the final player to successfully remove five junk pieces wins Very sort after game this never had one, but remember it and fetching good prices on flee bay. Another Jaws toy from 1976 had one on these always in the bath with me when i was young, again fetching silly money.

    Tea Chest

    Absolutely love this comment.
  18. New Years. British Tradition. On the stroke of midnight, people open the back door (to let the old year out) and ask the first dark haired man to be seen to come through the front door carrying salt, coal and bread. This means that the following year everyone in the house will have enough to eat (bread), enough money (salt) and be warm enough (coal). Anyone still do this? Happy New Year to all at Desert Island hope you have a great 2019.
  19. KP Outer Spacers Just checkout them flavors Advertisement Comics from 1982
  20. Magic Robot (Merit) 1950s Gone back a bit on the date here, as it was until the 1970s i got one from a jumble sale. So again if all the bits was there cant remember just remember as a kid playing with this robot thing on a board. After all these years of not understanding and watching the video down below i now understand, but its taken me nearly 40 years.
