Best bet is to read through the cabinet building threads, as everything is covered there.
IPac controls inputs.....Button presses, and opto circuit (signal generated when a coin is spat out of a hopper).
Control Interfaces :: I-PACs :: I-PAC2 (ultimarc.com)PacDrive controls outputs IE: LED bulbs, and hopper power (using a 5v relay to connect power to the motor).
Output :: LED and Output Controllers :: PAC Drive (ultimarc.com)

I have bought all mine off aliexpress, shopee & lazada. Ebay ect were too expensive.

Match of the Day and Luvvly Jubbly both use 20p Binary for the 10p in.
The only problem I had, is that there was no way to get a 20p to pay out, so I had to use 10px2 on the hopper setup.-

I think you just paid his electric bill!
Opening the front wont reset the machine, but if he pulled a battery or played with dip switches then he is a prize cnut!

Hi John.
Just had a quick walk round:)
I did see that Thriller overlays are back to front.-

Wow, so I CAN have 2p, 10p, 20p and £1 all on one cabinet then? Are there any wiring diagrams about showing 4 cube hoppers being connected up for such a project? The Arduino bit may throw me, i'm not very technically minded and like simple stuff cos i'm a simple minded man, sadly! Intel definately not inside! Lol!
Cheers,
Gary.
Basically yes. All the Arduino has to do, is turn the hopper on when the Pacdrive sends a 5V pulse, and turn off when the opto on the hopper senses a coin exit. I have seen some code on Github to do similar things, so I am sure someone can make some solid code just for an MFME Triac to hopper payout in the future.
Personally I am using a JY-142 Change Machine Board (Link to example only) board to convert the switching of a 5v relay (By the triac 5v output on my 2nd Pacdive) to count up on my change machine, and also pay out as a third MFME hopper.-

@mpu_five as far as im aware, you can only drive two hoppers because of the coin signal input. Hence why I'm using £1 and 10p. I would love to add 2p payout because as a young lad I pretty much spent my entire two week caravan holidays in the parks amusements on the good old nudge shuffle machines
You can add extra hopper payouts, so long as the additional payout is a Triac to hopper setting in config, (think old solenoid payout unit) and does not use a multiplier.
You will need something like an arduino to run the relays to and from the hopper & Ipac/PacDrive. I use the board in my home made change machine to do the same thing, but will use an Arduino on my next version.

@Amusements sounds like one you’d of liked
I would of played it at the time (and lost), but I wasn't a big fan of JPM after system 80.

. but the 'classic' layouts are useful for building internal test layouts in MAME so the emulation can be tested with clickable buttons etc.
I usually make a classic before I start on a redraw, but do not release them. I will have a look at my backups, and see what I have saved.

This was a Dadsfme.com release Bar X 7 DX (dadsfme.com) I remember something about it needing to simply be rebooted if it errors.
-
Also, if you open up more than one copy of a game, the GAM file will be read only on any additional emulations.

MFME is updated, it was just when I loaded astra celebration, the one from dads website did it
That was not the point I was getting at. If it is ticked, it may cause errors due to server problems because there are no more updates.

Have you got "Check For Updates on Start Up" ticked in preferences?

I have played quite few casino slots with the option to use touch screen stake/start buttons, or a physical button. Repeatedly pressing a piece of glass is a bad experience, but OK for making selections. I think having a touch screen for a top glass is perfect for MFME but definitely a bad idea to use for start and hold buttons.

Good start:)
I guarantee it will never end! I started out in a similar way 3 years ago, and I am still tinkering away!

Applicable Coin Size:
Diameter: 18.0-31.5mm
Thickness: 1.5-3.2mmShould be OK for most coins. (I have no idea what size a pound coin is though).
If they all work, that is not bad for 3 hoppers. 2 for hopper 1 and 2, and another to work as a triac output using an arduino.

@davep180 Just out of curiosity are you using one of them external USB hubs with 3-4 sockets? If so, that may, or may not be a problem? I have had a lot of Pacdrive faults (just keeps paying out) when I use one with a layout with fast hopper payouts.

If the Pacdrive errors and you reconfigure something, remember to unplug the USB power to it, or it will not reset (rebooting PC wont reset it). If the hopper is spitting out non stop coins, have a keyboard handy so that you can manually press the [ or ] to at least eliminate certain faults.

Yes ! My typo, sorry !
I only have £1's in my cab - but it feels like there is always one or two missing when it pays out.
Have you run the Diag/Misc box to see if it is using 2 pound hoppers, or to see if it is paying out the odd pound in 20ps? It is possible the hoppers are not full enough. I do not know if the released layout was topped up or not, as I always reset the RAM on new layouts.

Has anyone managed to get Lucky Lotto Club working and of so, what are the settings in the config please ?
I have it configured but it appears to only pay out partly - IE - the odd coin here and there. Not the hopper as on other machines it's fine, if anyone has got it working would apricate the know how.
Many thanks.
I have not heard of lucky lotto club, do you mean lucky lottery club? If so it uses hopper 1 for the squids, and triac 1 for the 20ps.

Looking very nice/tidy and solid:) That will make a world of difference to playability.

This reminds me of when people used to buy shareware at Bowlers in Manchester, and other computer fairs. All you paid for, was the disk (service) Like a pound or less.
For me, that was a fair business, because the sellers do not claim any rights to, nor edit any of the works, and the shareware providers got to spread the word. -

Oh cool, @Amusements that sounds a much better way to do it (dare i say faster too?)
Are you able to do a short video to show me how it's done?
Or am i right in thinking, when i define the keys on the I-Pac2 software, i can give it the PacDrive number also associated to that key?
For instance i can tell it that the Orange button on (I-Pac pin 1SW1) will be represented by SPACE and it's lamp is connected to (Pacdrive pin 1)
Or is it MFME's PacDrive setting where the above info is defined? It'll be one or the other i guess?
Thank you!
I think the easy way, is to show you my template as an example:
So after creating your own template, hit the [Save Template] Box and put somewhere handy.
When you load a new layout, configure all the buttons as you did before.
When finished, open up the PacDrive tab on Game Configuration as above, and hit the [Load Template] button and reload your template.
Hit the [Config] button and Voila! The bulbs get automatically added.
Eg:
The only thing that may need changing manually, are the hopper settings, when the layout requires a triac to hopper payout, or if you are using 2 bulbs on a button.

Ok I have tried it with King kebab which is an mpu5 and it does the same. Its like its not registering the coin coming out. I have cleaned the sensor and still does the same
Is this your hopper?
