  1. In answer to the second part of your question, if you create a widescreen version of the image with the machine in the middle (it's a bit of a fiddle to get it in the right place) although I think I tried to work out where the left and right would go by calculating where the image of the machine would go by halving the width of the machine image, so for example

    Widescreen width = 1600

    Normal image width = 300

The left side would need to be on pixel number 1450 so the right side would be on 1750.

When I did Volcano, I created it as a full screen machine and used lamp numbers from the machine as part of the sides so that they lit up when the the interior light of the volcano game was yellow or red.

    Hope that helps a bit.

If you're asking if you can make a widescreen image use lighting when you press F3 to get the fullscreen image, I'm not sure that it can be done that way, I believe you have to use a full screen version.

Yes mate  when u take shots on inner ring are they ment to be lit up ?

No idea I'm afraid, I never played it in the arcades. I used the lamps that were there already and not sure about any others though :(

I'll see if I can find out though...

I had a brainwave as I played it and see what you mean..... I have managed to fix it. It's because I hadn't used an off-lamp image.

  3. I thought about having an update with Cash Lab a couple of days ago but my mindset isn't on it at the moment after having a bump in my car and other stuff going on so I'm trying to chill more with games I've downloaded then I will have another go but with the kids being on holiday now, it's a bit of a mare .... "Dad..... he won't play with the marble run.... can I have the <various items> out?" etc etc etc.

    Hope everyone's okay.

Shots @infection? Was that for one of mine?

  4. Thank you @Reg for mentioning me, I feel so pleased to be part of this fantastic community setup by the fantastic and always remembered Wizard. Without the help of everyone here, it wouldn't be what it is and I for one will gladly keep it going with either suggestions or things I can help with, including doing layouts.

I started using the emulator many years ago and Volcano was one I wanted to try and see if I could use to work out how the lights etc. were used and managed to create it. I was very pleased with it but knowing what I know now, I will be able to hopefully improve it at some point.

The help and fault fixing I got from Wizard when I reported things to him was fantastic and nothing was ever too much trouble. I thought he may have gone on holiday when I messaged him and he didn't reply but when I found out the reason, I was gutted, saddened and upset knowing he's gone so early.

May we continue with this awesome website and I thank each and every one of you that's helped me in the past with any queries I've had and Wizard for his awesomeness. I'm so pleased I had the opportunity to tell him a few times how fantastic I thought his emulator was and I'm sure you all feel exactly the same way about it :)

Love and respect to you all

  5. Although I never got to meet you in person, I had the chance to message you several times and praise you for your excellent MFME which has been appreciated and loved by so many.

Here's to you and may you rest in peace.

Sadness that you are taken so young.

Never will I play MFME and not think about this sad time.

Love and best wishes to everyone you've left behind and everyone missing you.

  6. I was wondering whether anyone has done a party games machine, the one with the large animated screen with the figure that goes round the rectangular board and the dice is rolled for each move?

Only reason I ask is that I played one the other day in Skegness and managed to win £5 from a straight spin and then £10 from the main game. It was a 10p play one as well. :)

    David,

I can help you with this but I would feel it best for you to try and contact Pook first, as this layout was not officially updated for MFME5/6 and he may be wanting to re-release it at some stage and/or help you with a download of it now.

The other idea is to donate to this website and then you would be able to download the legacy version and then you would need to obtain the ROMs etc. At that stage I could help you if you have any further issues.

I would like to upload the layout for you here but due to respect for original author and respect for site rules I am unable to.

    Mort.

I've done a couple myself, including an update of a classic version of a game that is a WIP that needs the light numbers but wondered how I can get them uploaded, if it's possible at all?

I guess that due to it being the Volcano one you may not be able to use it?

What do you think to them? The Volcano was the first one that I'd ever tried to do with the editor etc.

  8. Hi,

I've been a massive fan of yours for years and have followed and messaged before.

However, one of my favourite ones you did was Club Fast Fruits DX layout on MFME V2 (converted from JPemu I recall) and can't find it any more.

Are these older ones still available and if so, where can I find them?

    Many thanks in advance
