  1. A physical button is quicker, touch screen must be a second behind so you have to take this in to account when doing a skill stop. A friend of mine was selling one of those 27" screens with a built in computer, be ideal in portrait mode in a new cabinet and it was touch screen. Be ideal having a touch screen plus physical buttons. Ahh... the cainet bugs got me again!
  2. I've not fiddled with it yet, I'll have to have a look in the settings.
  3. I must also add (and will add in a how I did it thread) the help from other members is priceless!) You may spend £350 on a machine but without there help and knowledge and diagrams for example it wouldn't work. Especially for someone as retarted as me. With regards to the hoppers and money control, No1Stoney has been my savior, the diagrams you see above are what he provided me with and work a treat! I have shared them for the benefit of other builders, and I muddled them up lol.
  4. I'm upto £350 ish at the moment. The none runner SWP I bought with a working screen was £80. But with touch screen I don't need to purchase buttons (so maybe a saving there). Buttons are probably better as you can't press cancel and start at the same time on a touch screen (for skill stops). I sold on the 24v coin mech and hopper for around £22 the machine came with, a quick sale to put towards buying a universal 12v hopper for £50. 12v can be run from a computer psu as per the diagram ^. I've recycled parts as well to save money (wires etc.)
  5. I'll be doing a thread of how I did it and who helped me etc. My laptop is in the menders at present. Take far too long doing it on this phone
  6. I'm going to be thanking everyone in one big thread
  7. 12V universall hopper wiring diagram.
  8. Cashflow 126. And some more progress videos
  9. It will be interesting how it turns out, good idea mounting TV on wall and having a control unit below it. Doesn't necessarily have to be in a cabinet does it? Whatever suits you. I'm 80% through mine, just the payouts to do, and I'm spreading the cost too, 1 item a month lol. I'm using an old touch quiz machine similar to what you have in the pic. I liked the idea of touch screen (less to wire up). I had a shower thought the other day, I want to build one half the size then I can have it in the house. God damn shower thoughts!
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WrsQok4hzs YAY got it working! Just need to modify the games now, it seems £1 in is 'r' so I just changed it from '0' to 'r' on the emu and it worked. This is as far as I have got, it's XMAS soon so will probably do a bit more on it after XMAS.
  11. Yes, i'll create a thread when its done probably, pictures of it all over the place (over 3 forums). Coin mech, pac drive and hoppers next! <- will probably blow up but a few people have given me some good instructions, you included. I put 2 ideas in to one, a jukebox and MFME, a programming mate of mine is going to write the front end software so i'll share that to when he's completed it. You'll love the way I did the lighting lol. A £1 USB strip of lights light up everything including the cash tray.
  12. I lack in everything, still giving it a go. You never know, I may blow up!
  13. Sorry to be a pain!! Where did you put the links where you got the coin mech, hoppers and pac drive from (if I need 2 hoppers and a coin mech) ? And I presume I only need 1 pac drive as mine is touch screen and all's that will be running is a coin mech and 2 hoppers. I've already got an SR5 coin mech and a £1 coin hopper that came with the cabinet, will that work with a pac drive? Someone mentioned on here, and I can't for the life me remember who it was and where I could get aftermarket hoppers and coin mechs as they would work better.
  14. I was wondering after speaking to my mate who is making some front end software for me... If he could create a manager menu in which you could refill the hoppers, empty them, see the coins in, coins out etc. I'm not sure if this has been done already so if someone knows, let me know and how it was achievable, obviously he was asking what hardware was used, i.e. pac drives (which are next on my order list) and he asked what type of signal was received etc. to be able to convert it to data. He knows what he's talking about lol.
  15. Think i've copied an idea here...
  16. That looks brilliant, mine looks rubbish lol
  17. and i've just ordered some clear plastic, exact same size as what I have took out as it would be very time consuming peeling off what is already on the existing ones. Now I need some graphics making and printing lol.
  18. I'm going to stick with touch screen, less for me to mess up! My next job will be to wire the coin mech and hoppers up, I have been advised to source another coin mech and hoppers. The coin mech I have is an SR5 like yours (on the new £1), is it difficult to wire this up to a pack drive or shall I obtain another coin mech as advised? So.. I have 3 things to wire up, a coin mech and 2 hoppers, what is the exact kit I need for this? Fanks!
  19. Cool, i'm after something to replace mine with, the oval shape I want to say MFME and i'm open to suggestions for the rectangle one. Also here's some photo's of mine... its an old games ware house cabinet so a front opener. In addition to this the hard disk contents have been uploaded here, if anyone wants them... https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/topic/56939-games-warehouse-hard-disk-contents/
  20. My next stage today will be to look for I pac drives and payouts, I've got a coin mech in my watch list. Is what you used in first section of this thread? ipac1 ipac2?
  21. Thanks for the reply! I've bought an i5 qaud core for £50 (aparantly a bargain) for the main computer, one step at a time... Next will be the coin mech (probably off Ron from the Mecca, an idea of what coin mech to use would be appreciated 'me126'?), a 10p hopper and a quid hopper (probably ebay or a member may have a good source) and whatever I need to make that work. I intend on making things work prior to fitting them.
  22. Looks brilliant! Questions... If you had bfm's cops and robbers loaded on to it and an external blue light would that flash like the real thing? Token payout I presume uses 20p hopper? Physco Cash Beast, would you have enough buttons? I counted 9 at the bottom and 6 at the top. Any other machines use more buttons than you have? If you had your own software on it could you use the existing buttons to navigate around a menu without conflicting with the machines loaded? Can you still insert coins prior to a machine being loaded or does the coin mech lock out until it is loaded? Could the refill key be functional? Fanks.
