  1. How is it doing on its percentage? IIRC as downloaded it's in a pretty happy mood. It doesn't have to be invincible to let you get a jackpot or mega streak 'normally'.
  2. Copyright hit for the board music on Big Bucks, who knew?
  3. I believe it was really easy to trap them for the £70 squares in the corners on P1 and P2, then a bit more involved on P3, but nothing like the mega-faff that the P4s are. They were all on P4 when they first showed up over here so I never got to do any of the earlier chips. There has also been talk of a 'dirty chip' over the years that was allegedly a sort of 'semi-unofficial' P5, and that one would just Alien you for fun whenever it felt like it, apparently.
  4. Revisiting Alien, featuring lots of exciting extras. Sort of.
  5. Should have got round to these bad boys sooner! BWB MPU4 Video AWPs. NOTE - CONTAINS EXCESSIVE FANBOYSIM OF FRUIT MACHINE SAMPLED SOUND.
  6. Not quite the usual content this week, hopefully you'll understand
  7. Ooohhh thanks Ploggy I'll have a proper rummage around in there, it's possible I've missed quite a few of your updates The updates are of course much appreciated although TBH the fact that the original layouts from folks such as yourself from many years ago, still stand up today, speaks to how damn good they were in the first place!
  8. Cheers guys I appreciate the comments The FME eulogising section wasn't in the 'script' as it were (not that I work from a script, but I have an idea in my head what I'm going to talk about), but as I was flicking between those four classic machines, perfectly emulated with fantastic DX layouts on a new release of the emulator, I was reminded again just how truly awesome it all is - so went off on one a bit about how splendid FME is, even after all these years. (Perhaps more so now, than ever, in fact.)
  9. Have some classic £6 Barcrests. Apologies, this is another Bandicam pause/unpause job, I would have tightened it up quite a bit in the edit but time has got away from me again this week I'm afraid.
  10. That's a good idea wearecity, I'll see if I can find a bit of time to get it done, as some folks are going to be interested in FME and not slots, and vice versa, and so on. With that, here's this week's video which I fully admit is a bit of a rush job as it got to Thursday night and I still hadn't made a start on the video for publishing on Friday morning!
  11. Flashback - Skill Empty ROMs ---------- Previously released with the chipped ROMs (where Stop 'N Step cheats and the reel chosen for the feature can vary), my shadowy operative has managed to retrieve early true skill ROMs for the machine. On these ROMs Stop 'N Step always spins the middle reel and doesn't cheat if you can set up, and then hit, red sevens for a £12 win. Does Degsy have the required skill to pull it off? I think we all know the answer to that. Layout + ROMs available from the RAM+GAM file forum here at DIF
  12. 'The Day I Started to Win' I've mentioned this in previous videos, how in the mid to back end of the £15 era I finally got a little bit of a clue on fruit machines, and was finally, after a decade of losses, able to start making some money back.
  13. If you're subscribed to my channel and have notifications turned on you'll have had a bit of a blizzard of notifications about new videos over the last few days, (well, four notifications over four days, specifically), but they're all online slots videos. (I was trying to prove a point for the folks over at Casinomeister, it went rather better than I was expecting.....) However, I have not forgotten about my true love which is fruit machines and fruit machine emulation - so here's this week's new video Thanks to my 'mysterious benefactor' for sorting out the layout config so this would work in the emulator. (He doesn't want any limelight in particular, but a lot of my 'emptier' style videos wouldn't have happened but for his input, advice, explanations, and patience!) Also a bit a of FME history in this video
  14. Splendid Electrocoin hi-techs for this week's video:
  15. My second foray into the world of videogame content. (Choosing between FME and videogames would be a very close call.)
  16. Holy shit is that you mort? Like, the original mort, from back in the day?
  17. I think it's down to whether or not the channel is affiliated. The beef seems to be with folks who are effectively using YouTube as an advertising platform and making money off players who go on to lose, having seen the 'promotion' of gambling via the channel. Please note I'm not saying I support what's going on, but that's my read of it.
  18. Cheers guys really appreciate the comments I realise these sorts of videos are a really niche interest (which is reflected in the number of views they get) so it's good to know that a few folks enjoy watching them at least!
  19. More AWPs this week, specifically I have a good yap about the initial wave of £10 jackpot Empire machines.
  20. Thanks for a long and detailed post there char very interesting read And the offer for the USB key with all the trance.fm stuff is always open to yourself or anyone here at DIF. I pretty much just have my entire trance collection on constant rotation in the car, (so that's not just the trance.fm stuff, but everything else as well), it takes over two years in normal usage for it to cycle around (1-2 hours per day). Just on the drive home this evening a hardcore trance section I'd forgotten about kicked in and I was grinning like a loon on the drive home. (The old MDMA-tuned synapses still kick in to an extent...... :D) Here's a reupload from my old channel (long deleted) back in 2012 when I liked to have trance overlaid on everything
  21. After last week's excursion into the murky world of online slots here are a couple of classic old lo-techs for this week's video.
  22. Awesome stuff char, I've always wondered what that track is called! (It didn't flag anything up on a YouTube content match, which is usually very good at recognising even very obscure tunes.) (I used the track at the end of the Gambling Low Ebbs video, but you'll also hear snippets of it in other videos.) I have several hundred hours of trance that I recorded off a now-defunct site called TRANCE.FM - it streamed trance 24 hours per day and had three different trance channels to choose from. I figured it might not last forever, so I set an old Windows XP up, and simply left it recording 24 hours per day for a few days at a time (using a program called All Sound Recorder XP), and repeated this several months apart. I then used a File Chopping utility to split the MASSIVE resulting MP3 files into 1 hour chunks, and renamed them all numerically. Of course, there are no tags or names or anything, so the whole thing is completely anonymous from an artist/track name perspective, which means I have no idea what anything is called! As such, it's great to finally solve one of the mysteries! TRANCE.FM closed down about three years ago, and doesn't exist anymore. However, contained within the hundreds of MP3 files I have is some of the nicest trance I've ever heard, and the vast majority is stuff I'd never heard before. (There's also a fair bit of sub-standard stuff in there as well, of course.) If anyone wants a copy it'll all fit on a 64GB USB key. Cheers char - very interesting post!
  23. Back to the AWPs for this week's video
  24. Something a bit different this week.....
  25. Surprise Surprize and Party TIme by BFM. Sorry I didn't get chance to upload the RAM+GAM file before I set off, I'll do that this evening
