Hi Hi , I loved the megadrive , never owned one but my mother rented one at christmas from the video shop ( oh how times have changed ) . When i first played altered beast i was well impressed , closest i had ever seen to a coin op on a tv , the sound and the graphics were awsome . The games i tried were , Ghouls and ghost , and my favorite , mickey mouse castle of illusion . If you throw sonic in , and strider , it was one of the finest home entertainment systems .
If I was 35 years younger I would be saying "From the what Shop" and yes castle of illusion was one of the best game I ever played on it

I just found it this evening. I thought it was but couldn't find the right advert. It was a chorus from a Skittles advert song.
"Skittles..... chewy in the middle" from the 1980's.

Fixed the opto board this morning, and made a slide that is the right angle to let gravity do its part, then sanded it to fit flush against my front panel, and it has worked flawlessly all day:) Despite being almost upside down, and using small coins. I can finally play 2p machines, and old clubbers that pay out from both hoppers. The final stage is the put a cover over the payout holes, and find some thin screws to make the relays permanent, and maybe put a tower light on top.
would love to see short video of this in action I'm well impressed
