Yeah, if you've not been on the site for a quite a while, or were a zero poster then your account would have been deleted.
Nothing to stop you setting up another though

That's a really old one! Anyway I've given it a quick update so it works on MFME 20.1

Haze was very active on the FME forums a few years ago, then for some unknown reason he dissapeared into the wilderness.
I stll keep tabs on what he's up to though, and I saw he was looking at FME again.

There's a BIG red box on the front page for New Members which you can click on to access all the help and advice you'll need.

I did check Dads and there was a Starskey1960 in there, don't know if it is the same person as is a coincidence, if it isn't I apologise but just thought you should check it out to be sure.
Thanks for the heads-up. I don't think they're related but he's been deleted anyway as they've not been on the site for over a year.

I have corrected.
Wasn't sure about pointing people towards sites, so they can effectively just download bulk, but I guess you didn't do them to not be played.
We don't have a massive following at 'DADs' so we've never seen the need to have download restrictions. Also quite a few designers only release their layouts here so I don't think bandwidth is an issue. Thanks for the 'fix' though

You'll find download limits in the above thread.
4 a day, 8 a week, 16 a month.
Don't forget other FME sites such as www.dadsfme.co.uk and www.fruitemu.co.uk where you can find some downloads not here.
Also, hosted by this website https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/forum/26-dxcellent/ I believe that downloads from the DXcellent part of the forums can be downloaded in addition to the limits. There's some great layouts of machines, you'll find the file at the bottom of the first post in each thread, usually under the picture of the machine.
Obviously if you want unlimited, just make a donation, it's appreciated and well worth it.
Used to be .co.uk, now its www.dadsfme.com

Hi Guys
As I am still new to the site I was wandering why I am currently unable to download anything ?. I keep seeing the following message in any download section "Sorry but you don't have permission to download this".
I was able to download and update my MFME yesterday and I was also able to download the Eastenders Red Edition too but from that point all the brakes have come on. I have checked my account status and it says that no restrictions are in place so I am a little confused.com at the moment.
Any advice would be greatfully received.
Again apologies for this post as I am still very new to this site and how things work.
Its likely you've hit your download limit. All explained here.....

Hi There
Thanks for the invaluable help with this. Can I just ask though, if I open the older layouts in MFME 5 or 6 depending on the layout, if I want to then use that layout in MFME20, do I just click file save as so that I can get it into a .fml layout ?
Yep that's exactly how its done. There might be some minor tweaks needed in configuration to make them compatible. Quite often its Hopper Settings which need adjusting by unchecking the 'hoppers' tick boxes.
If you have problems, just stick a post up and we should be able to help.

it didnt work but then i have probably done it wrong, hopefully it will work tomorrow, with a clear head.
If you’d like to PM me the layout, I’d be happy to take a look.

Normally it’s check box 11 to override this message on Astra’s.

Party time or any other 3 player machines are particularly CPU hungry as it’s running an instance of MFME for the top box and each slave, so you really need a high end PC to run them properly.
it probably best to use less slaves to ease the load on your computer.

They had a second round of preorders, and they're running a 'preorder shop' for those that missed the second kickstarter:

£300 for base model, £325 for accelerated... plus I think £10 P&P. So not cheap by any stretch... but after doing JPLaunch (that I've still gotta release), I managed to justify it to myself as that project just about makes me a Speccy developerYeah c64 was more powerful on the gfx/sound front (which is kinda most of the fronts) - Speccy was very cheap though in comparison back then
I got rid of my ZX128+2 years ago but still got my old ZX81 somweher kicking around. Not fired it up in a long time so it probably doesn't work anymore. Instead I play my old favorites on an emulator
Claim to fame - programming an infinate lives 'poke' for Dizzy 7 I think I sent that to Crash Magazine back in the day.

Raising a glass to wizard who presented me with a hobby lasting almost 20 years. No other person has changed my life in the way he did and I will be forever grateful.
I was at work today and TBH not noticing the time at all, but for some reason I stopped what I was doing and checked my phone - bang on 3pm so I stood still and had my own private two minutes in absolute silence. During that period it dawned on me what massive effect he actually had on my life with his creation of MFME. I brought me to a communiity which I'm proud to have been a part of and in which I have made lifelong friends.
Thank you Chris - for everything!!

Hi Guys
Ive not been on here as often recently so I hope everyone is keeping well.Ive been playing a couple of the older layouts in mfme 19 but the sound on one of them is really low. I’ve had a look in mfme and on here to try turn the volume up but can’t see anything. Can someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks, Chris
If you tell us which machine it is then we should be able to help.

I think a link to your tutorial should be added to maybe entice people into having a go at layout design. The advert is aimed at people who’ve actually accomplished this so possibly something like - these people did it, can you??
-
Well deserved!
Can the next one be 'Whiskey for old, knackered, eyesight fucked, R.S.I. sufferer, 'brain shredded with seeing too many little yellow squares' layout designers please??

I downloaded Classic Slot from DADSFME the other day but it errors when I collect the bank. It makes that horrible high pitched error sound and says 31 100p hop. A RAM reset fixes it temporarily but the next time I collect a bank it does the same error. I filled it with coins but still get the error. How can I fix this?
