    Well definitely emulated.

Looks like the layout for it, is possibly from the batch released just after v9.4 was leaked.

The red lamps were an issue back then, as a sweep of the lamps, would wipe them out.

Such a well known machine back in the day, that seemed to be everywhere.

Definitely a modern makeover for this one would be great.

Another game from this era that definitely needs a makeover is Royle Family.

Very interesting topic and a variety of views, makes really good reading so thanks all.

I never knew any emptiers existed from the early 90s right through to mid 2000s, and then when I started hearing about the ways players would target certain machines and empty them just made me avoid those machines, because in 95% of places in and around blackpool it’s fair to say there were players doing these things so you’d have little or no Chance of winning on said machines. So I’d leave them well alone, and just watch out for a “new” machine.

i can remember sitting in a couple of pubs waiting for them to unload and set up a new machine off a wagon out of the plastic, before playing it for maybe the first time. That was the excitement for me rather than knowing how to empty it; learning how a new machine worked and what the features were and maybe, just maybe, walking away with a jackpot and experiencing the feeling that gave you! Still get that feeling when you get a jackpot, it’s just far, far less frequent with bigger jackpots and thus for me some of the attraction to play AWPs has gone as a result.

I still like playing quiz machines (appreciate they aren’t AWPs) but they are less and less apparent nowadays too.

    SM

There were empty tricks on Quiz Machines too. Connect 4, Caesars Palace and that phrase game spring to mind.

I had two mates with me who run off I was trying to stop one guy put his hands in my pocket while slapping and trying to instigate my escalation and he had a few more lumps with him, he pushed me back and I shattered the take away window but it didn’t break thank fook, ran behind the counter and grabbed a knife to try and make it look like I was not terrified and then the shop staff said I was the trouble maker and then the old bill turned up and I got nicked for criminal damage and affray and the one guy that was able to get a insignificant amount of money for the trouble was gone and then he came and said sorry to me on the pier the following day.  Utter madness

All because you won on the fruit machine!

Daft question, but what exactly dictates whether or not a machine is emulatable (new word of the day!)? Is it the availability of the ROM? Imagining the day when Prince of Thieves or Chase the Rainbow are payable in an emulator but suspecting it’s years away!!

Those must be Scorpion 6 ,which is too new to emulate as people have mentioned. The Mega Streak on them is often just £100 but if it does go over, then it's a massive £120!

My one and only experience of being mugged by a human was in a kebab shop where I had just battered a take your pick. Was not a good experience

That must have been an inside job since it happened in the Kebab shop.

One Friday night I went in a pub for an Electrocoin. We had been in the pub a few times before for a Red Gaming machine. I bought a pint and made about £30 or £40 on the £70 jackpot machine. I heard the landlord say "He's already banned before", but I never was. Then he and a couple of locals told me to empty my pockets because they thought I had a device. If not they were going to call the cops. So I emptied my pockets to prove I had nothing on me. They started grabbing £1 coins so I grabbed as much as I could and left the place. In the end I left with less than I had before, as they managed to pilfer £52. I salvaged about £60.

Jumping Jack, such a simple idea for a game, with as simplest graphics, you'll ever see. But it had one of those, just one more go vibes about it.

I got pretty far on that. Every level it told a bit more to the story.

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but there is a dond hotbox real fruit machine in my local pub. Is there a dx version available for this? Ive searched and i cant seem to find it. It would be nice to learn about this machine at home.

That's the Betcom Deal Or No Deal. The technology for this probably cannot be emulated.

What about winner takes all? Im sure those had a 5p/10p option?

I don't have any notes on that.... However I do for Rich & Famous which is almost a clone and the switches didn't change stakes. So I'm assuming they don't on Winner Takes All.

Not many games, in 40 + years, I could clock as they say, but Chuckie Egg was one of them.

I did buy and play the Amiga version, but the Speccy version was the one I clocked and ended up having to give up playing because I simply couldn't lose on it.

The Spectrum version was the one I played, never had an Amiga. There were a few games I completed back in the day. Dynamite Dan was one I mastered because I had a special route where I would visit every room. Fall Guy was another where you had to jump the train and the boats etc.

Yeah, I loved that one @logopolis there was so many!

Be good to see a few more turn up for emulation. That vegas one, genie too. Good old days! We played them all, but unless you hit icons, profits were pretty minimal, unless a sweet place!

Ah Genie, that was hard earned cash! The Vegas one was Casino Crazy, which was one of the earlier releases.

Yeah I did start to edit the images I had for count ya cash the image quality just wasn’t there so chucked it back in a folder. Is there any better images of count ya cash about now. Will get a dx done if some slightly better images can be found.

That was about the best image I could find. There is a YouTube video of it but I don't know if it's any help.

    Players guide. Pm if needed

They spin certain numbers when they are ready like JPMs. With these it's red numbers and 1 and 12. Also 2 and 11 should mean it's ready.

There is a number runner feature on most of them (but not Darts Marathon) and if it's red then it should be Jackpot. Also there is like a Wild Thing feature on them where you just have to hit the wild anywhere in the window.

I don't think there are many of these games about now. In fact I don't know of any.
