She can be a bit of a megabitch at times lol, thanks again for sharing your info.

    Got any more;)

I got £25 roms working in Fruitopia which is a full empty that takes a long time. It wasn't clear to see with the £15 program, so I'll do another video of that. Also got £25 roms working in Ready To Rock but I have done a lot of videos on this machine on £15. The £25 version plays just the same really.

Another empty is Battle Axe £15 where the machine never goes dead.  I may do a video on this but it's just collecting the most you can out of every board until there's a chance of jackpot. It can take ages but eventually the machine streaks off the jackpot.

The one I want to do is The Simpsons. Showing how to get the streak out in the quickest way. Can never find the right roms though! There is a set of roms in there which I can't get working because it does a strim alarm.

  2. At 21:30 in the video, I show the long term meters. It's at 136% but it should be a lot better because some of that play is from the 0.4 chipped machine as I didn't ram clear the stats. I put the 0.3 roms straight in the existing 0.4 layout, so the long term stats weren't zero when I first played the 0.3.

I don't think I saw a £10 Up & Over in the wild. Leisure Link had a few they were siting in pubs around here about the same time as The Simpsons. I remember the route mainly consisted of Up & Overs and Blue Simpsons with a few JPMs.

You will find Barcrests gain streak value after they settle down with a lot of play. Arabian Nights, Neptunes etc. are examples.

  3. I have no idea if it worked on the club machine. Never actually seen one, didn't know it even existed!

What I probably should have mentioned before is the jackpot won't repeat or very rarely on the cash stack. Going the notes route (like I did in the video) is the best way because the jackpot can repeat and could repeat a few times.

  4. Had a few of these about as well which were good money makers. A couple of the independent suppliers had one, along with Leisure Link etc. The V0.3 roms are actually on sites like planetemu. I only just realised this last week having previously assumed they weren't available yet.

Still looking for Maygay The Simpsons roms where you can get the £60 streak.

  5. Here is a video of the playing method on the unchipped version 0.3 of Barcrest Up & Over. You can reverse the gamble on middle numbers and the machine will normally win. This will not work on the later 0.4 version. It is possible to empty because the jackpot can repeat several times. I had about 4 repeats once in the wild all those years ago but it is rare.

  6. Just sharing a video I recently made for my YouTube channel. Here is the "Pros" way of dealing with a Barcrest Ready To Rock! I used to empty these on £25 jackpot in arcades and pubs. It's impossible to empty them on £15 jackpot but the gameplay and method is exactly the same. So basically if this machine was on £25 jackpot, it would be almost emptied in the 30 minutes in the video.

  7. I never seen an Empire version of Cock A Doodle Dough. Makes sense though because other companies have released their versions of Barcrest machines. BWB released Psycho Cash Beast which wasn't quite as good as the original Barcrest version.

It is very likely we have seen the last ever update of MFME. Very few of the later AWPs are fun to play in the emulator anyway, so we won't be missing much in that sense.

You are right that later AWPs are mostly no longer fun to play. Though I would have been interested in a few DONDs such as Triple, Double Chance, Turbo, Hold Your Nerve and Powerplay.

  9. I have Donner Kebab on £25. The £25 roms for King Kebab and Austin Powers just aren't out there anywhere. I searched on all the sites such as planetemu etc. Same is probably true of £25 Son Of Dracula, though I haven't searched for that. Cock A Doodle Dough is barcrest.

Maybe Whitbread specific roms are non switchable so no configuring is necessary as it uses it’s pre-baked internal config.

You might find it works at £15 even if you set it to £5, 5p play.

    J

That must be the case with them. I was quite surprised when the wrong stake key message didn't show up.

  11. Ah right, that's interesting. Some of those Whitbread programs ironed out little flaws in game play that the player exploited. Caesars Palace and Hot Shot had updated nasty chips where they would still spin 1s and 12s even when they had no value in them. I'm pretty sure these were Whitbread chips.

You wait for the machine to default back to 20p play.  It takes approx 30 seconds if I remember correctly.

    What roms are running?

    Here are all roms.

Lower number will be the roms to be running.

    J

Royle Family (Bellfruit) .zip 5.11 MB · 2 downloads  2

Thanks for those roms. Some of them give a dataport 71 error but that's irrelevant because I found all the programs that I can remember. There's a £25 jackpot version where the empty works and a £15 version where the empty doesn't work!

Also there is a whitbread rom set where the empty works set on £15 jackpot. The weird thing is the game will play even if the machine is set to £25 jackpot. Not sure why there were whitbread programs, maybe they were for pubs.

The latest £25 program is there, it's a nasty chip because the barcode crazy cash won't go above £5.

    That's the fella!

Had a couple of Royles and a HoLoWatha locally :) You really needed to be able to hit the cash amount very consistently though, as it didn't make getting the barcode easy.

On the latest program, the cash amount never made it past £5 so it was impossible to get Reel Benefit.

Depends which version of 'doable' you mean, the one I have has had the 10p thingy (empty) chipped out, but the barcode/skill still works, the details of which escape me but I'm sure it'll come back to me if I fire it up and play it again.

It wasn't an empty though, more a way to rip the value, had a couple of real ones here.

    HiLoWatha was a clone.

The next program on Royle Family was a way to get value out which involved barcode and I think it was 2-3-1. Hit the cash amount when it goes up to £7 or more and the feature starts on Reel Benefit which can be £25.

Royal Family already has a layout with the emptiable rom running I’m pretty sure.

    J

I didn't know that. I'm surprised nobody has made a video of it yet.

Yeah hi lowatha and royle family would be good, you would need a way of putting in smaller coin denominations though. I was sure you had already done a video on this degsy ? I'm sure I can remember you showing how to add buttons to be able to insert 20ps etc, I dunno maybe I dreamt the whole thing

Somebody must have showed how to add buttons for lower coins because I did this for Barcrest Rainbow Riches £35 and Count Ya Cash £70.

Another machine yet to be emulated with a jackpot trick is Barcrest Rainbow Riches Lotta Luck. None of the same machines released after Count Ya Cash are emulated though. These include Take It Or Leave It and Murphy's Millions.

  16. Just The Ticket works but I only got the initial jackpot plus another 2 on video, so it's probably not worth posting on YouTube until I can get say 5 or 6 jackpots.

We definitely need Up N Over original roms plus Ready To Rock £25 roms. Simpsons earlier roms would be nice too for the £60 or £75 run. Somebody mentioned DOND What's In Your Box earlier in this thread. Could be for the Win Stopper feature or just manipulating 2 and 11. The same person also mentioned Connect 4 which was a good empty on the quiz mchines.

  17. Maybe he meant me because yesterday I linked my Fun In The Sun jackpot trick video from my YouTube channel. I don't even speak on the videos, it's just playing methods on old machines with a few tricks and empty methods. So it's just for fun. I wrote an acknowledgement in the discussion part of my channel.

I actually made a video showing the trick on Just The Ticket by Maygay. It is an empty because you can keep getting jackpots but the machine can cut you short and you have no influence over this. I only got the initial jackpot plus another 2 on the video so it might not be worth posting on YouTube until I can get 5 or 6 jackpots.
