    That's good news then. Sorry for the confusion, was missing the saving and reloading.... all worked on reel test with 6 digits.

    Can't be the emulator surely as there are no issues with other impacts as far as I know.

    Maybe that was the issue.... cannot remember what the real machine was lime 100% I thought the reel was only a 6 symbol band but doesn't seem like it. 

    That's why I spent an hour looking for the bands but haven't got a clue where they are at all, they ain't with my others so I can only guess I gave them to someone a long time ago.

    Perhaps it could be configured to work correctly in MFME between relaunches of the layout, but I'm still leaning towards a bug in the reel controller emulation - would love to be wrong though, since we can't fix the latter! :)

    I see what you mean, this will take some looking into.

    The machine is Impact tech which isn't showing errors on other machines.

    The only thing i may think is the problem could be with a 6 symbol reel running. Are there any more of these on impact?

    Does this use a separate control board for small reels.

    Your layout number reel is set up wrong.

    As per the image i posted, the layout and number reel are fine.

    I was positive i had the reelbands for this and would have made an updated DX but one, i cannot find the bands at all, even scans and there are no great images.

    Mfme has the option to load a sound rom for a few tech's , don't know if you have ever noticed it?

    I haven't used it, never had the need yet.

  7. No. Sounds would have to be the same length (time wise), be in the same order, same size to make the same checksum.

    If not, the sounds wont run with the game rom or will be out of sync or play at the wrong time.

    it is a very difficult, near impossible process to make a new sound rom for an existing game.

    You will have to make do with the original sounds, as emulation is intended.

    I also failed to get Rainbow Gold to run, had the 029F issue previously with some of the roms Gary posted a few years back and I believe Wizard was working on some Betcom stuff in the background (RGB Reels/RGB LED Lamps etc), Improvements were made within V20 and 20.1 to allow those games to run but alas ☹️ Thank you for all you did Wizard :wizard:

     

    I did make a start on a layout for Immortal 300 as it piqued my interest, absolute nightmare to figure out why reels kept de-syncing but got there in the end, expect it soon™️ If any DXers want the layout in it's current state (Reels mapped, lamps labelled, 7 segs ordered correctly) then feel free to drop me a PM & I'll send it over.

    Some of the 029f issues clear on other games but i cannot get it to clear on Rainbows Gold. 

    @vectra666 said he had got passed this issue and got the game running but it has me beat. All others i tried run fine.
