It’s running via mame so I think you can just tab in and change the controls to the way you like them.

Without knowing what you were doing when the error occurred it’s difficult to pinpoint as there are a few mfme errors that pop up from time to time for various reasons.

I really don’t mind mute layouts, I played most days back in the 90’s, I’d say at least half the machines I played had exceptionally low volume or no volume at all. If it’s a machine I liked then I’ll play it mute or not.

Those Mame conversions where likely done before Ploggys hi res DX, JP worked on this project maybe around 2015, maybe slightly earlier.

The tool was pretty impressive I remember playing about when I created the DOND DX.
I’m sure I remember the weekend you started working on it
I think I mentioned that you couldn’t make layouts easy in mame and you literally knocked something up in a very short space of time!!!

I totally agree, that physical press just feels right!! I’m more bothered with the aesthetics though, I only really play my own layouts so I just have them setup this way, but mine is purely very light use. I’d definitely built one though with those oled buttons that would be a bit of a game changer, even looking like the actual buttons!!

Each to their own. My little 10 point touchscreen panel works very well as a virtual keyboard.

I don't know fella. I don't have a touchscreen windows machine. I do have a letterbox type touchscreen that I sometimes use for mfme, just all the button on this 9" wide screen, it's very handy. Not sure why people don't build cabs with them to be honest. Though, I do like the tactileness of pressing buttons.

This is the only issue with a touchscreen button panel, it just doesn't have that tactile button feedback. Some kind of haptic feedback would be ideal

Yeah you’ll need Windows 10 if you want to take full advantage of AS. I don’t know for sure though?

Trouble you will have is layouts made with version 20 won’t be compatible with v6.1. I don’t think anyway.

I think that’s what JP is getting at Andrew, he does understand the 6809 code. You can’t possibly say his patched roms won’t work in a real machine.

Might be worth asking your friend about his Cloud 999. He may or may not be aware that it is very likely his machine could have been targeted as it's possible to reset the ram on these in certain situations and empty the machine quite easily. That might explain strange money in and out figures.
