There is another a bit like this where the controls IMO are even worse, don't know if you've seen it - Speed Rumbler.  I just can't get on with it - but visually I want to play it if that makes sense.

Yeah absolutely - this was just run of the mill until that happened.  Makes you really want to put more coins into this if you were physically playing.  I do think though that as it's a bit hidden, people may have passed it by.  This one really was a bit of a gem with that trick.
