Amazing car game this. Takes a while to get used to, but once you get a feel for it, it's great. And the follow-up was a belter as well. Another great car game that I used to play on the PS1 was Total Driving. Took me forever to complete all eight manufacturers' races, but I managed it.

Okay, mate.
It's counterintuitive pressing left, and right, instead of up, or down, so I can see why it's frustrating at first. They did a follow-up to this as well. Didn't like the 2nd one as much as the original though.

I remember this well. A good old classic I used to play a bit in my local snooker club. The reason you were having issues going in the red doors was because you need to stand, and stop, on the red stripes on the floor then push towards the door. Only use left, or right, to enter and leave the red door. Not up, or down.

Here's Tommyc's layout with the issues sorted.

Got a bit of bad news. The rom appears to be a Dutch BFM with the same name! Yikes. You can see "Presenteren" on the alpha display. Sorry to get your hopes up, mate. Didn't know there was another BFM out there with the same name.

Wait. There maybe some hope! Just tried the rom in a BFMulator layout and the reels spun. I'll load the rom back into MFME and see if I can get the configuration right for it.

Quite a few changes in the new rom-dat that Geddy posted yesterday (21st April 2023). I've attached the new rom-dat plus the fills from the previous rom-dat, fromzzz rebuild.rar Geddy.Fruit Machine Roms (20230421).zip

Here you go, mate.

This project looks very promising indeed. Fantastic work thus far. Look forward to seeing it progress further.

Hello.
Been a while, I know, but if you still need permission to add any of my previous layouts to the arcade you have it, mate. All my updated layouts can be found at fruit-emu. On this thread: https://www.fruit-emu.com/forums/topic/55526-mfme6-layouts/

I can't believe what I'm reading. To say I'm shocked, and saddened would be an understatement. My deepest sympathies goes out to his closest family, and friends. He will be sorely missed in the FME community.
Wizard was the man! If it weren't for him I would still be throwing away money in the fruities, probably. Finding MPU3/4 in the early 2000's cured me of my addiction - so I'll always be eternally grateful to Wizard for that. Thanks for the memories, and the last twenty years.

Aren't the IGT S+, and IGT S2000 techs in MFME the ones that the US-based slots use? Videos of a couple of machines running on each tech.

Here's the Circus layout with the token roms, mate. The DX I did for this, back in 2005, was based on the classic which used the all-cash roms. Might revisit this layout in the future as it looks a bit old, and tired now. Like me. Thanks for the videos, as always.

Some great photos/memories in this thread. I remember most of them.
Here are a few more. These I remember from the eighties. A lot of these were American, until they cracked-down on a lot of the US-based stuff because of the saturation of US culture at the time. Been trying to look for a picture of another chewing gum from the eighties called Bubble King. Can't find anything on them though.

I think Bar-Gain was the first to have sampled sound on Maygay machines, but I'm not 100% on that. Maybe Retrofruit would know exactly as these machines are right in his wheelhouse. Played the green Monopoly a bit, but it was on £3/10p. Still a fun machine. Don't think I ever played the Simpsons, but That's Life I definitely remember playing.
I'll check the roms we have and see if there's a £4.80 rom available for the green version of Monopoly.

Concept games machine, Might have been listed as Megabell previously in the rom DAT
You're correct, mate. There's a rom in the dat called Megabell (Concept). Tried it on the emulator but it doesn't seem to run. The rom that SPA attached does seem to run though, (Astra A1 tech) but it needs a bit of tinkering to get it to work correctly. Both roms are different sizes as well; which is a bit odd.

Nothing in the rom-dat for Turbo Mega Bell, so they're new. Got roms for the other games you mentioned though. Here's Geddy's latest rom-dat. Just open it in notepad, or any text-reading based app to see what roms are publicly available.

Great to see you giving this a go, mate. Like I said before, this game gave me hours of fun; and frustration. It came in a five-game bundle when I first got my PS1 in 96. This, Rayman, Worms, True Pinball and Street Racer. Street Racer was an abomination of a game. Stay away from that one.
The reason you were having more problems on the Switzerland track was because it was on normal roads. The road tracks are normally quicker than the others, so you have to be more careful when turning. There are also different car-types to drive as well, later on. You get to use dune buggy's and F1 cars in the later sections on some of the courses. Each Country has 6 different tracks with an hidden track somewhere in one of the tracks to find.; making seven in total You'll know it when you see it. It's like a bright yellowish light that you have to drive into.
