    Hi everyone,

I've downloaded Snappy Viper but unfortunately I can see the buttons start etc. Does anyone know why?

    Thanks,

Hi in preferences in MFME check that the monitor size is correct for your set up and also make sure you have not got the option override layout size and position ticked then load up the game and see if it works then, i have this layout and i don't have this issue

  3. The version from this site is fine to install and has been downloaded many times with no issues, i am guessing your Mcafee is being a little to strong, i would suggest waiting until you can download again and turning it off to allow you to download, if you don't want to wait then making a donation to the site will get you a whole year of unlimited downloading, and i would guess that once you have the emulator up and running your going to want to download many of the layouts for the emulator this may be your best option, you can donate as little as £10 how much fun would this get you on a real machine.

So I need to make multiple topics to be able to download MFME? Just asking as either I'm an idiot or I'm drunk.

No you just need to make a couple of posts you can make new ones or join in with existing ones or if you want faster access you could make a donation to the site for 1 years unlimited downloads

  5. For me its a Black Box machine comes in 2 versions 5p/£1 token this was called Upstairs and Downstairs and the 10p / £2 version which was called Reel Gambler the machine is the same just name and prize stake difference this the one machine i would love to see emulated in either versions or both, i know from videos on you tube that there is some one out there with a Reel Gambler but don't know if we have the resources.

  6. I remember Nobles arcades did a Xmas themed machine in the super Red Bar / Super Bat 7s cabs with new reel bands and wins this was on £10 all cash i dont think they changed the programs in them just the reel symbols and a new back and reel glass, the machines played exactly the same as super red bar / Super Bar 7s even down to the hidden extra nudges. I assume they did this do they could just swap them back to the original machine after xmas.

  7. Hi

Most club machines with a cash pot had some way of pushing the cash pot up after it has been won, i think the reason for this would have been at the time a club could only have 2 machines sited, so if the cash pot was showing had been won it would put people off playing it, so it would put all the pressure on the only other machine thus cutting take.

  8. Hi

The new version of the emulator should go and auto download the missing roms for you, not sure why its not working, however for the older roms I have a full collection from a backup of an old site so if you cannot find any of the roms drop me a Private massage an i will see if i have the what you need in the back up.

Hi Alarmkid the raw file for that video is 10GB in size so that's not getting emailed anywhere!

I'm currently musing on the possibility of opening a new channel and working through uploading the old channel's back catalogue to make them available again, but can't say for sure if/when it'll happen yet.

    Hi

I hope this site comes into being, even if we can only access your archive i am sure many people would join up and support this kind of site and content from you.

For about a year and a half now, upon loading a legacy layout, the roms are automatically downloaded and added to the layout.

Thanks for the reply and help i have just found them and sussed it out many thanks

    Hi

The games in the legacy section only contain the layouts but there are no ROMs in the games, or at least the last time I downloaded from this section this was the case so you will need to source the ROMS before you can actually play the game

  12. Hi

To dontate is easy if you look on the right hand side of the portal home page there is a section there where you can make your donation it defaults to £10 but you can pick any amount above this if you want to.

Good day a newbee here just wanted to ask is it possible to have 2 versions of mfme sharing the same database without have to load each one again and again after using the other.

    Cheers Rob

    Hi

Depends which 2 versions you want to run V5 and V20 will use the same DB so you can run both of these together.

It would be interesting to hear from someone who used to program for Electrocoin whether the next statement is true but I was told once that as far back as the original Bar-X the entire sequence of spins was pre-determined to a given percentage. The machine had a number of tables to select from so if a player went off track and missed a few wins it would simply select a slightly higher percentage pay table for the next sequence to bring it back in line. This is why hold after nudge could spin in the "wrong" win, sometimes hold after nudge on X would spin bars for example, and sometimes there was some strange behaviour like hold one bar and the other two would spin in - entirely consistent with a pre-determined selection for the reels.

Chuzzy kits changed all that of course and made the outcomes variable and introduced things like three holds which the originals would never do.

I wonder if the Magic-7's era behaves the same way?

    Hi

I never herd this from any one but as I used to have a super red bar with an electrocoin kit in and i always thought it used some kind of win table for game control, as i saw the same patterns of came round often.

  15. I cannot believe its been nearly a year since we lost Chris his emulator lives on and new layouts keep coming from those with the talent to produce them. I have much to be grateful to him for and his emulator. I was addicted to gambling spending way more than i should have been, fortunately not more than i had 3 things brought me back from this problem.

    1. The love and support of a wonderful lady.

    2. My little dog gave me something else to concentrate on .

3 Chris's wonderful emulator and the games i could play on it so i was not going to have to go cold turkey.

RIP Chris you are missed but still remembered every time i click on the icon to open MFME.
