  1. I was just doing a theme for your hide rom now jumping back to the site, not finished cabinet view just yet.
  2. Sorry Mate, I have updated the original site with a new theme and things, not sure if it allows uploads currently as I was rebuilding the site earlier as parts did not upgrade correctly, Im still working on sections of it. I will look at the uploads now.
  3. Your very welcome @woodsy you are correct any changes you need to use the import button, there is another release I have ready but not released it just yet.... Once you know, you know its simple !!
  4. It's always good to see your hard work being used specially in your video it looks amazing I really have to get around to finishing mine but I have to custom develop a board for my hopper which will take me a little while to do. Hopefully @Woodsy will make use of my document I posted to get his setup sorted, you know what its like once you know you know and it becomes easy, setting up mame is slightly different but only because one aspect of the configuration is different.
  5. No time for a video but hopefully this PDF will fully explain how to set things up, if it doesn't let me know and I will add to the document so others can see how to configure FruitBar, setup themes, copy and paste paths, etc... Hopefully I covered all the bases...... FruitBar Configuration.pdf
  6. I'm still quite impressed with what Dave has done, I have just updated fruitbar.uk so the images on how to set things up are back online as are the updated theme images. The images do show how to do it, but I will record a video to make it even easier, What part are you struggling with ? provided you have set the path to your mfme.exe and imported the files it will populate and it should execute the roms when you click on the middle cabinet view, it will always open mfme by clicking the middle image or pressing enter clicking on any others will not start the game
  7. What can I say I think you have a good looking machine and I think FruitBar makes it look even better. It's actually amazing to see it all put together in a cabinet, the marquee video's should be sorted now if you want to give them a try. I am looking at installing some software on my site to allow easy uploading of media files as now FruitBar does so many different things it needs more files, mp3's, video's marquee images, cabinet images etc.... I never removed the ability to add mp3's which in a cabinet just adds to the game play. Amazing work and well worth the time you put into this. Congratulations I have to ask can I borrow your video ? One last thing there is a delay in starting MFME, maybe need a mp3 when you start the game so you know the key press has been accepted I believe the code is there you just need to add the mp3
  8. The marquee version is now the mainstream release so it's time to start on something else and that just happened to be something that was always in the background of the program I just never really enabled it for people to play around with, The feature would be the ability to add MAME into FruitBar so I have quickly enabled it and updated the development so it's ready for some testing, There is a setup to using mame which slightly different to normal but nothing too complicated and you just setup the images, marquee images, videos, sounds, etc as normal in the theme folder. If you would like to try out this release give me a shout otherwise I can just disable it.
  9. Tomorrow marquee build goes mainstream.... Fruitbar will popup with a new release from tomorrow.
  10. Took a while to track down in issue in this release, but the new update should resolve this just redownload the m1.zip release as shown above as its just been updated. Once I know everyone is happy with this build it will become the mainstream release. Also added the ability to turn on or off the ability to have the mp3 sounds when moving from rom to rom, I dont think a lot of people knew I added this some months ago but yes the system can play an mp3 as you navigate through your cabinets. Personally I used some of the rom sounds for each cabinet as I navigate through...
  11. I thought you might like it.... it means having to redo your stake values but I also updated it so you can amend the previous entries.
  12. Here we go, now added the ability to independently turn on or off the marquee images and videos per cabinet view. I have added the additional settings within the set stake key the letter 'N' if you are wondering which key is that !! @davep180 this is the update you needed, any problems drop me a message. https://apps-trader.com/fruitbar/fruitbar_m1.zip Almost forgot this release also includes various updates and fixes.... This version will soon be coming to the upgrade feature within fruitbar so this will become the main stream upgrade, then I will work on another big release. I might even finish the new section appearing in the settings where you can add any system you wish into fruitbar so any emulation can be used just like I do with mame on my screen shots... Enjoy !!
  13. @davep180 I have quickly added the ability to enable or disable marquee images and videos per cabinet this should resolve your machine looking for files. This was the easiest and quickest way to implement this since you use the machine details, percentages, stake values, etc, aka the bar files The 'n' aka stake key now has two new options this will save your machine looking for files, bar files are starting to become a config file for each cabinet.
  14. Quickly updated this release to resolve the issues experienced in an initial startup with blank roms, settings, etc. Also updated the marquee display code to further delay the loading of video files this should remove any strain from slower setup's and increase overall performance. https://apps-trader.com/fruitbar/fruitbar_m1.zip Keep in mind this is the marquee display release of FruitBar, I will put this into the main stream release at some point.
  15. Never mind, you pressed enter which causes the issue, Press "shift" to load settings where you configure your arcade, I will fix this now in the latest release !
  16. @Mrbeanstreak could you tell me what spec the machine is, what memory, etc? I have checked even the new currently testing marquee version does not crash on an initial start up and clearly you are using the older version hence the background image. Not heard of any issues with that version on a clean install, not sure what you press or do to get that error, so im just looking for some more information on the issue, You are welcome to try this new release, there will be a new version coming out later maybe tonight.
  17. Thanks for this, You might want to use the original version from the download.php i'm guessing this is a missing file which I have not checked for in this test release as everyone testing it generally has the original config setup and the files have been created, but I will look into that now. The main stream release doesn't have any issues like that. Thanks for posting...
  18. It was about time I created a shared release of FruitBar with the marquee display but remember this version is under development, sure it will work with out the marque videos simply remove the intro.avi file, want to setup intro videos for each of your roms on a second display this version can do that. Currently tested on a limit amount of marquee resolutions This release also includes lots of extra's the other normal release doesn't have including the random spin a rom which after 30 seconds of doing nothing fruitbar will randomly spin to a random rom. Feel free to test this one but as i said its under development, more so on the marquee side but other code will be added. https://apps-trader.com/fruitbar/fruitbar_m1.zip @davep180 this one includes an update you might be interested in, it has a small delay prior to starting the video which will stop any lag (initially it will load the marquee image then after I believe 10 seconds it will load up the video marquee this will should stop the lag you were experiencing. I will probably add a setting for this so the 10 seconds can be amended the reason being a faster machine may he happy with no delay where as a slower machine may require more of a delay it will also depend on the video size. A bigger marquee video the more loading time, SSD or non SSD will also make a difference too. As always smaller files faster system so compressing your avi's will certainly help. I will get around to doing a post to recommend how I would create avi's and to get them small, I believe I have set a 15 or 20 second limit on the playing time to reduce the file size as its all about speed !!. It's actually hard to test all these variables on this laptop as its a beast with 32GB ram, 8 core i7, SSD, etc it takes a lot to make this old dragon slow down. Any questions or suggestions are always welcomed
  19. Im sure it will look fantastic once its in situ !! I'm sure you will be playing it at Christmas and it will be installed and working !!
  20. Cant wait to see the cabinet view @davep180 with your new marquee display running !!
  21. Mine is installed in the cabinet I did some major work to get it in situ its not finished but its ok. I'm not on that development PC currently so tomorrow I will boot it up and send over a copy or might just do a full release.
  22. Many thanks Woodsy and everyone supporting this release.
  23. If you ever want me to make up a cabinet view let me know !
  24. Not played this one for a while many thanks ! It's in the arcade !
