  1. It's a false positive, Nortons just has by default a case of the "this file hasn't enough recognition ergo it must be a naughty file" syndrome. Just choose to ignore/make an exception and 'restore' any files it autodelete's. If you are ever not so sure on one of these false positive alerts just install malwarebytes which can run fine alongside Nortons, the free version will suffice as it gives you all the scanning abilities just no auto functions that are in the paid version, there is however a 14 day free trial you can activate if you feel you're in a pickle with your pc at any point and need extra help on top of NIS (Nortons). .exe, .ini and .dll files are usually where Nortons will have a fit if it doesn't recognise the signature of the file.
