  1. This is the bit I'm not understanding I think. Sorry I'm not that good with wiring and understanding it. So is my diagram correct but with the negative from the 24v going g to the ipac? None of my other negative wires go to the ipac?
  2. Hey guys. I found a post @Reg made with his second cabinet. on the picture with the hopper it looks like he has the negative going to the 12v psu and the positive going to the 24v. I think this is the issue i need to know. Hopefully @reg will be able to answer this and I can get it working finally. Thanks for all the help you guys are giving. I wouldn't be anywhere near as far as I am now without all of your kind help!
  3. OK here is what I mean about having 12v and 24v power sharing the same negative. This way everything shares the same 0v but will power the hopper with 24v and the coin mech and pc have 12v? Or will this not work
  4. Thanks No1Stoney. Unfortunately my understanding of electronics isn't too great either. Hopefully @Regsets his up this way so I can try it
  5. It's less than a second. If I get a 24v power supply, how do I make the negative wire on the same loop as the 12v wires so they share the same earth?
  6. Actual payouts don't seem to do anything. And the test all does the same to the hopper. If I click the test hopper button, nothing happens for about 5 secs but then ot runs for a split second
  7. If I hold it it turns slightly but then stops. I'm wondering if the psu has enough power and when the hopper starts it puts to much of a drain on it as its only 12v? Think it's only a 200w psu.
  8. OK I have made a bit of progress! So I have managed to run the pc from the psu that runs the hopper and the coin mech. When I click on the hopper and test in configuration the hopper turns very slightly (8 clicks will eject a coin). Is it supposed to eject a coin when you click test? It does look like as you said it's the earth's that could be the issue
  9. I think I can splice the incoming 12 volts that comes into the motherboard and use that negative as the common ground. Do I keep the positive off of the separate psu as the power in for the hopper and coin mech? Attached is the input on my motherboard which I think is 12v
  10. The only issue I have is I have nowhere to grab the negative off of the cable in to the pc as its just a motherboard. Hopefully @cja272can test to see if this solves the issue?
  11. This is how I have mine setup. The only difference I can think of is yours runs the pc power from the same pc as the usb's. But surely if there is a 12v source it shouldn't matter? I'm thinking it's more they arnt getting a signal to motor start? The issue I have is I can't take a 12v sorce from the pc board running it
  12. Ahh ok. Not sure if I can do that with the 5v bulbs? @cja272 do you have 12v or 5v bulbs on your switches?
  13. So do the negative wires on the pc psu go to ground on the ipac and pacdrive even though they are 5v? Don't worry I won't be trying this unless I am told its safe to do it
  14. So currently I am using the negative off of the pc psu for the hopper and the positive on the 12v of the psu. I'm not sure how you mean using the same 0v connection as the ipac and pacdrive. This may be the issue? Also I will try using my multimeter as you suggested after work tomorrow and see if there is a signal.
  15. I wish there was a way to send a signal manually to check the hopper. That way we could see if it was the software or the pacdrive not triggering them. If its 3 hoppers that are having the problem then it must be something to do with either the mfme software or the signal from the pacdrives or the ipac
  16. Also I did try changing the mode to see if that did anything but it didn't. Currently back on mode 1 (no joiner on the 3 pins)
  17. Im pleased im not the only one with this problem as we are in the same boat (that seems to be sinking atm ).How do you power your hoppers? Are they 12v or 24v?
  18. So the way mine is set up is I have a separate pc psu powering the coin mech and the hopper. I have checked the power before plugging into the hopper and the negatives and positives are getting 12v. I think the issue is receiving the signal to payout. I have 1 lead going to 16 on the pac drive and another lead going to the ipac. Is there a way to see if the signal is being sent to the hopper? My negatives of the coin mech and pacdrive go to the psu while the negatives for leds go to 5v on packdrive.
  19. OK I have tried everything to get this hopper to run. Set up exactly as yours is and pacdrive set as 16 [ . Nothing. Am wondering if the hopper is faulty now. Are you using the MFME v20 version for all your fruits?
  20. When I put a 5p in the keyboard command is 11 when I have only set them 0-5
  21. OK brilliant I will have a try at setting this up later. Starting to make sense now. I'm not sure why the 5p is two ones though? As for the hopper I will try and set it up with that machine. Can you screenshot the epoch screen to check I have it the same please. Don't worry if you can't though. Do you get any hopper issues when it's a scorpion 4 or 5 as they seem to be the ones I have been trying to setup! That is how I have it set in the pacdrive settings
  22. Hey. OK I have managed to get the coin mech working with pounds. Here are what the coins come through as 5p 11 10p 4 20p 5 50p 3 £1 0 £2 3333 (think this is 4 lots of 3?) Where do I set it so that each coin has a shortcut? I have tried again to get the coin hopper working with no luck even trying the config button every time. No1stoney as I think I have the same setup as you, do you have a fruit with the config setup so I can test it on mine? Thanks
  23. Ahh ok will give this a go. I didn't think it did anything when you clicked it so didn't use it. Again I will try this in the morning thanks
  24. Thanks No1Stoney. I will give this a try tomorrow. When you say have the window focused, you mean clicked on so it's got a flashing cursor for example?
  25. Ahh I will try that for the pounds. I'm sure No1stoney will know what the issue is. I also have the cashflow 126 so hopefully I can get it working tomorrow
