jediknight
Hi, Has out of the many out there anybody played fruit machines back years ago just because of the voice samples when you got features etc... i loved the Monty pythons flying circus machine...it use to say NUDGE, NUDGE!, or when you lost it said.. I'M GOING TO HAVE TO SHOOT YOU. LEMON JELLY was another favorite, it also said...and my ultimate favorite i still say to my wife...IS THIS A FIVE MINUTE ARGUMENT OR THE FULL HALF HOUR?!!! HAHA i also liked the jackpoteers too..with the THE JACKPOTEERS ARE HERE when you entered the feature.

majormacca
The Eastenders machine. I think the only original voice was Mike Reid's. "come an ave a butcher's raand the square..." If you ever landed on the Sharon Mitchell square they cheaped out on doing her voice and it was always Grant piping up instead of her with a "I'll chuck him out darlin" or "she's gone up west" Finally the Arthur Fowler square - first land on it "I've got a job"... if the machine was in a bad mood you could re-land on it less than 10 seconds later - "I've lost my job" Not voice sample related but cleverest/funniest thing I'd ever seen/heard at the time too - when you got a hold and you pushed the 3 hold buttons in any order it played the notes for "west" "end" "girls" then press cancel and it finished the musical sting... Actually took some time to notice that in a quiet time in the pub but nearly wet myself when I realised. (Honestly I'd had a few pints... )

Wound my mate up for Years with that clip as I remember a unit robbing him blind in Jenny's amusements piccadilly in about 96ish, justkep wispering that saying to him, that saying drove him mad haha. When we were on bus home skint, a quick I've got something for you quote would get everyone lively again as mate would kick off for taking piss out of his loss Just brill times them going arcade full of beans then leaving deflated as owt calling your favourite machine for not paying lol. I had to borrow 10p for the bus home after putting all my money in the local arcade more than once, when I got home my mum knew I'd blasted all my money too ( I was only 13/14 maybe) all the weekly wages from doing a paper round done in less than an hour...lol
wearecity
Told the story before but in an arcade with some girl and Eastenders was behind us. In attract mode it would play samples. Pat Butcher said "got the time darling" Made her jump out of her skin. In fact Pats "oh Frank 'll kill me" is a funny sample during the feature.

Pub talk on Andy Capp, "where do you think you're going lad"? "fucking nowhere bitch" the pub would shout. Happy misoginistic days. Crystal Maze, me dad still plays it in MFME, and says with every board "you're locked in, you lose Billy Crystal". After the 1000th time, it get's less funny. slotsmagic
I'm sure the first ones that made me laugh were the risque ones on Global machines, things like Jiggin in the Riggin Don't have internet at home for the foreseeable (thanks Plusnet for cocking a switchover up!!) so doubt I'll be able to download it and play it again. 1 Currently owned digitals : T7 Encore, T7 Original, Astra iPub and Storm Street Casino. MFME cabinets : Genesis cab DIY by No1Stoney, Interplay conversion and Vegas Strip conversion (both are works in progress!)
