Knocked a wall down yesterday

That's almost what I did when I tried to crowbar off some skirting board earlier in the year. Who knew that a crowbar would go straight through plasterboard?!

@niallquinn Yeah, she sheds all years round, but of a pain, but now here winter coat is coming in.  Usually shave her in the summer, she’s had the lion cut a few years ago.  That was funny as we didn’t know what topic expect ;)

I have that with Slotscat, it's an awful lot of very fine fur on a persian. I contacted a local groomer for a lion cut and got the impression she thought it was barbaric. On a routine vet visit he recommended Furminator grooming tools, you can get enough floof off with the 'undercoat deshedding tool' to make a new cat. Did joke about turning some of it into yarn and knitting another cat, but apparently that's just weird. Wouldn't swap him though, great temperament. Only got him as a his previous owner hated him as he bossed her ragdoll about and she used to mistreat him, was never interested in cats 'til then but soon learned why people like them.

(edit) you added the MAME photo while I was typing the above. That looks awesome!

Lol I thought that furminator tool was a joke ;)   I have one of those gloves but it’s not great, will defo grab one of those tools, wow.

We were told our cat was a Norwegian Forest cat or a Rag Doll cat.  Truth is we don’t know this is from what VETS have told us.  I’ll upload a pic when she’s chilling.

So I sorted out my machine trades today, and one I received in exchange is a Month Python's Flying Circus, which I owned years ago and wish I'd never sold it on :)

Does need a fair bit of cosmetic work, starting with the button panel, which had at some point in it's previous life been painted navy blue?! Currently using all my sandpaper and wet and dry paper to get through that, then the original pink, hopefully back to bare metal, before seeing if I need to treat the rust, and then priming and repainting in a similar pink. Obviously will be cleaning the sticky 20 year old beer out of the buttons while I'm at it.

Spent a bit of time on it, and have managed to give myself a blister. Really need to remember where my sanding blocks are to stop that from happening :)

Aah, found my 60 grit aluminium paper and sanding blocks. Made short work of it, used a bit of an old bottle of rust treatment on the whole lot (probably the most toxic stuff in the world, something dad would have bought years ago!), sanded down with finer paper and now doing a few coats of primer, before doing several coats of pink tomorrow. Should look much better when done :)

Now there's a machine I've not seen in ages. Lost it to a Reflex heap of shit in a pub many moons ago. Quite rare if I remember rightly.

Getting rarer, which I guess you can say about most machines of this era, but still the odd one kicking around. This one is still on old coins (updated mech ordered) so presumably it's been home use for a few years now.

Was planning on scanning the reels in for a layout but they are quite badly cracked so I'll have to photo them instead. Fingers crossed I can get replacement bands in good condition but not holding out a great deal of hope. If not I'll see if I can get bands remade as done by @andrew96for his Red Dwarf machine.

Thankfully general MPU5 spares (boards, PSUs e.t.c.) are still in good supply :)

Got rid of my T7, even though I still played it a lot. Can see a lot more of them coming to the market and prices dropping as they get replaced by arcades. Will stick to classic / nostalgic machines now, don't have space issues so storage is no issue.

MPU5 is also pretty reliable too!

Used to own a few and never had a PCB fail. Did have a PSU I had to replace once but it wasn't even like a full-blown failure, it was pretty obvious it was heading out. Probably would have been fixable but at the time just swapped it as only £15 for a known working one.

I'd love some old EPOCH and IMPACT machines as late 90s / early 2000s were my happiest playing days... too scared of the reliability though! Have you seen the price of IMPACT spares? Crazy lol :)

And the fruit of my lazy labour.  Just playing one of my all tome favourite arcade games ‘Rygar’. They don’t make em like they used to that’s for sure.  Am going to get my mate round he can complete this and many other games in a single credit.  Pisses me off but love to watch someone with such skillz ;).

I like Ghost & Goblins, I’m pretty good at it but that’s a tough game for sure.

I like cosy games that I can stay on for some time.  Another favourite of mine is Wardner, still a beautiful game graphics wise.  Released around 1987.

Sorting this mame cab has made me realise just how much I loved the video games back in the day.

My cab has dual screens so I just need to get the marquee art to display on the top monitor.  I’ve got mfme on there two, had a decent play tonight.

Enjoyable, it just feels so much better on a dedicated cab for this kind of pastime. Still got some buttons to configure but it’s brilliant. The tracker is awesome as a mouse too.

They only thing I can walk away from MFME briefly to is 80's and early 90's video games such as Wonderboy, Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, Final Fight and the original Gauntlet/StreetFighter. I can play most on the 360 with backwards compatibility if I choose so seeing your picture above makes me want to bring it back out this week. Also got some oldies on the GameCube.

I worked a 12 hour shift on Saturday, spent most of yesterday, playing some gaming. As mentioned got a new gaming PC and trying to spend time actually playing games on it, so a long session on Dirt 4 (yes 4 not 5) and an even longer session on Watchdogs Legion.

But now back in work, working 13 days before my next day off.

Haven't played MAME for ages and not done much MFME for the past month either.
