Would love to see line up please , The Red Gaming anniversary one (with the roms that play almost like the original ) as the other one plays totally different.

The original (MPU3?) version - I need to adapt my Smash 'n' Grab model with the modifications to make it an MPU3, there are some minor differences... the MPU4 version... that requires an Barcrest Rio type cabinet... though Spidy may be having a look at that one at some point... or a Barcrest Genesis cabinet, that I have an old model from another MAME frontend project, that may be adapted, we will find out later.

Have added to the 'requests' sheet... though this won't really accelerate the various processes required... the games will generally become available as all the process elements are built that will allow it to be created.

Maygay Monopoly Club - major issues; no cab, unknown layout artist

Briliant - thanks for that comprehensive response. :)

I can answer the above - the orignal designer was Mike, using resourses for me - he has long left the scene.  I kept that layout updated to new versions of MFME and I think the amount of time I have put into that - it would be fair to mark that as me.

Thanks for this info on permission, I've added it to the Requests sheet, and changed the color coding to be a bit more useful.  Red cells indicate a block, otherwise ok:

I know it's somewhat disappointing, but these blocks will slowly be cleared as the project rolls on and various base assets/systems are built, it just requires bloomin' inordinate amounts of patience and work...but then, the most rewarding things usually do! :)

Wow! This has come such a looooong way!

I  just reloaded this, and I love the older games you have added:))

One thing i would suggest though (this is not a complaint). Please reduce the reel bounce if possible. I keep thinking the reels are knackered😆

Keep up the fantastic work:)

The reel bounce, like many features right now, is just at proof of concept stage, and is affected by framerate  on the PC (far from ideal).  You can disable 'Reel Physics' from the options menu when in the arcade... until one day when the proper system is done, and per machine settings are set up :)

Would you like me to PM you another version of Adders and Ladders Club, this is one that I done that might be more suitable looking at your sheet ?

Infact I will pass that over - this one was by myself.

I am procrastinating as I have house tasks to do that I'm putting off!  So I've done a special one-off manual muck about with the layout, to make it more 'night mode' so it can now be translated over.  This will really be done by a load of upcoming work to 'normalise' various properties of the layouts for consistency, but that's a long way off.

The darkening...

hi John Great Work Seen The Arcade on Youtube, So i have Downloaded, its done its Setting up Screen But Then Just Stays on a Black Screen am i doing Something Wrong???

Eek that doesn't sound good.  Bear in mind this is super experimental, so there are issues, and no guarantee of compatibility unfortunately at this stage.

Things to try:

- run Arcade Simulator as Administrator (right click on Arcade Sim shortcut on desktop/start bar, select Run As Administrator

- perhaps adding Arcade Simulator folders to your virus killer exclusion folders could help, there are sometimes problems with false positives:

On my machine the paths are:
C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Arcade Simulator
C:\Users\John\AppData\LocalLow\GyroxGames

- perhaps adding the exes found in C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Arcade Simulator to your firewall could help

If you are still seeing black screen after these steps, I could potentially remote in via TeamViewer and take a look, see if anything jumps out.

fyi if it's your first time downloading i had the same thing (long time ago though so don't quote me) and it was due to the downloading still happening on my machine.. if you haven't already check your task manager to see it's still working and leave the black screen a good while before trying again.. tbh jp is extraordinarily helpful with these things so that's the limit of my knowledge :)

I've added to the sheet - outstanding issues are:
- need JPM Electra (I think) cabinet
- need band reels implementing

(the reels will take a while, as there's load of other reel work needs doing also (that'll fix incorrect visible symbols issues, plus remove bodge where I turn horizontal reels into vertical for AS).

Well I have just blown my little mind...

...while playing the latest version, I remembered this I uploaded...

...my recommendation is download that and play the file on your PC, then start up that Arcade sim... ...you'll see what I mean !

Good call :)  There is a long-term plan for real attract/gameplay sounds for each machine, in 3d sound - which should layer to provide an 'arcade ambiance'... but not high priority for now - so Arcade Sim will be pretty quiet for a good while yet without a handy file like this!

Had a quick look in youtube, here's one that's been made 'virtually' (layering lots of MAME video games) :

- this is probably more what the planned Arcade Sim system will sound like, but less 'busy' and more fruit machines (as it'll only play machines that are currently making sounds nearby based on state, at their relative volumes/qshifts/reverb/eq etc based on distance)

Hi John downloaded new arcade sim today  looks amazing and really love the new machines you have put in 👍. This keeps coming up sometimes probably just my crappy laptop also comes up with the second picture, once I minimise the second picture it all works and you can play it, only does this sometimes others times works straight of as you would expect it to, have you any ideas why this is ?

Just had a quick look at this... does it happen every time, that the start buttons don't work?  Or was it just a one time thing?

I tried on two of my PCs and it seems to restart without problems:

Lemme know if you're still seeing the issue, and we can do some troubleshooting, try figure out what's going on :)

i started it up without turbo start and it worked as normal.I then tried again with turbo start and it worked. So not sure what caused it not to work at the beginning.Once again thanks really enjoying it.

Outstanding work @johnparker007 I am in awe of what you have created for us all so far. For some reason, being able to walk around an arcade and walk up to and play a machine feels so much more authentic than just loading MFME on its own and its so much more immersive. I am VERY MUCH looking forward to the multiplayer element, that has got me really excited. Loving the amazing work here.

Also I've just bought a new 165hz monitor and compared to playing on my old 60hz monitor, it is silky smooth and looks amazing

Just to add, ive not played many machines, but on the ones I played, all seemed OK and worked as intended except for 'nudge it' which errored on startup the first time, then loaded fine the 2nd so not really much of a bug, more like realism if you ask me.
