Looking more than good! I wonder if @Spidy21982 could make a 3d cab from the photos I put up? That was actually a massive hint btw lol

He is taking a very well-earned break I believe - and I have many of his cabinets and new fruits to work on already, so we are all stocked up for a good while yet with new 3d cabinets.  Your photos will definitely be made into a 3d cabinet at some point in the future, though if I do it, it'll be a more basic - Spidy is much better at it than me! :)

He is not the only one that needs to take breaks, whatever one is doing on a PC whether layouts, uploading roms/images or yes you keeping everyone happy we all need to rest our eyes for a bit. There is enough battles out on the field as it is so health always comes first.

Look after yourself and each other.

A quick update, some JPM Vogues are in progress, though they're on hold while I've been working with @spa to get much more official cabinet names, dimensions from his large manuals, flyers and then carefully doing cross referencing.  So big thanks to Spa for getting stuck into that work with me, it's been a big help in getting more solid foundational info about original manufacturer cabinet models.

To be fair, there's a some variation in measurements, and some mistakes/discrepencies in the manuals/flyers, this may have changed over the manufacturing life of the cabinet, but we certainly know more now than we did a few days ago! :)  Used to see the same in Pinball manuals, they never expected that decades later there would be people poring over them, trying to digitally recreate the machines - they probably assumed the machines would be disposed of at the tip after 10-15 years...

Here's a zoomed out screenshot of the new version of the Cabinets sheet that this info has been feeding into:
image.thumb.png.d8dddf728765410f887577b8fc5b0f98.png

Next there is some work to do to build a cleaner newer version of the Machines sheet... and then I'll be able to get back to converting those new Vogues...

The new Vogues being attempted are:

You are right, no band reels yet.  None of it will be an issue, it's just time to develop those things (also disc reels, 3d prism lamps etc...) - I am just doing machine with standard reels for now, to keep things moving :)

In the future there will be user-created arcades sharable through online (Arcade Sim World) - so users can name their arcades themselves.  For now, mine is just test arcade so not going into that stuff yet :)

Lots more to come but here is a taster from my end.

With great thanks to Barry aka Pcpfan off the Mecca (who built my gaming Pc from scratch) and there are Dx's to both of these too.

Dimensions...

Blue Streak.rar 300.8 kB · 6 downloads Test Pilot.rar 349.43 kB · 4 downloads

Big thanks for these, always good to get additional measurements, helps with cross referencing, getting more confidence on cabs/dimensions...  All feeding into the new Cabinets sheet to help with later cab scaling :)

First test of 3x new builds in Vogue cabs, after some painful converter issues (been a while since I did the fruit machine building process, there's a lot of gotchas :)

A few bugs in this first pass missing reel lamps on one - the coin alarms and stuck start buttons etc is just down to running the editor, should be fine when actually running in the proper build.  Some of these will prob benefit from AI upscaling when it's time for that, I think some source layouts are lower res...

Been having more problems building new fruits, as I updated Unity versions to get the things to make the video games work... so I will have to fix these new issues... that said, I've repeated some steps and managed to get three more machines to first test stage :)

First pass test: 2x new Vogue, 1x Roll Top (glitches as usual due to running in Editor, another new unwanted 'feature' of updating Unity version!) :

Fixed reel lamps on Casino Las Vegas, done a manual edit to remove 'fixed' reflection from Popeye - not shown in video as need to rebuild those, but apart from a bug still to fix with recording the attract mode, have got Snakes & Ladders working, so recorded a quick gameplay vid of that new one :)

Testing 3x new Vogues :)  Annoying coin alarms due to running in Editor, not a proper build. Money Talks has a squashed reel, that'll be fixed as part of a future task that rescaled reels as fixed to cabinet.

That coin errror we get with most of these in mfme shortcut 0 works but standard coin input don’t unless there’s already credits within

also stuck button alarms maybe due to a spare set of buttons off screen on some older layouts

absolutely fantastic as per.. just because i had a long adventure with this in fme world and would love it to come into arcade sim too....?? will the dip switch trick work on football fever the same as it does for haunted house? reason being @Tommy c was kind enough to help me get the £5 version working after i first joined up, what you do is awesome and i just want to explore that option.. obviously i'm deliriously happy full stop, please don't think this is a complaint.. :)

It is reeeeally bad when running through the Editor... since updating Unity version (was necessary to get video games working), I now most likely need to further refactor so that more of each machine's definition is in a download on demand format.  Currently the Editor now stalls briefly due to how the machine data is structured, so when I press/click the '0' coin key down - then editor freezes momentarily, and it screws up the debounce on the MFME input.  So yeah, it does happen in MFME, but it is currently happening looooads running in the Editor.   So it's just another big job waiting for me, I'll prob tackle it after this next patch with the new Vogues is done.

You should be able to change DIPs, however I've no idea if that allows you to change stake on these Impact machines the same as MPU4 machines.  At a later stage there will be a proper feature developed to allow changing stake machines including decals...
