that's a coincidence, I owned that arcade cab until recently and it had that exact same glass.  They're solid cabs, it had a Salamander game in it :) - I converted it to MAME and had in for 5+ years before giving it to my Godson although I think his dad played it more than he did! :) - I think they still have it.

Salamander did come in a Goliath for the real cabinet - Konami didn't have their own manufacturing for cabs in the UK at that time (I think I read that was why they used a generic for their official Salamander cab) - great game :)

One for the road - probably the last new machine for now, Adders & Ladders, @serene02's first layout to be converted :)

...next up is working on remaining stuff for the patch (bugs, better options menus, various improvements to systems, adding new options to potentially help with people who are having MFME scraping issues)

Aw man I've tried to post a really detailed response twice now @Spidy21982, and both times the forum has lost it (stripped out all the text when I've clicked 'Submit Reply'), and I have to write it again   Right I'll try again!

So, I think 'popular' cabinets are good, as then we get a lot of games out of each model - though I'm super happy with whatever cabinets you want to make! :)  Also, I know side profiles (and measurements) help, though are not easy to find... here's a few that could be good ones:

This is an Electrocoin cabinet, used by the popular Bar X machines - I see slight variations in the side panels from the Bar X but overall I think it's the same shape:

Also, here are some good side profiles of some older machines.  The bottoms are cut off, but good otherwise:
MPU2 - several cab side profiles.jpg

I don't have a good side profile for this one, but I think quite a few machines used it - it's the JPM Electra cabient:
Cluedo side pic.jpg

... and this cabinet was used in quite a few popular Project games (777 Heaven etc):
Screenshot_20210118-142320_Facebook.jpg

It doesn't really have a beer fridge in the bottom hehe ;)  It has the usual wooden panel with barrel lock, like this:
gallery_1742_128_625792.jpg

Also - Barcrest did their own similar version of the Mazooma 'Rio' cabinet... but it has the 'stepped metal' trim, as used in the new machines we have in now (like Andy Capp etc):
image.thumb.png.ba1ca942cc5a1bba55cfb5adf5aeb5f8.png

I think the proportions are similar - sorry I don't have any good side profiles of this... but it would open up more 'lo tech' type Barcrest MPU4 games.

But whatever you want to make is all very gratefully received here! :D  These base models you are providing really helps take it to the next level - so thanks again very much for your hard work :)

when is the update coming cant wait to play @johnparker007

Aiming to get an update out, ideally around the end of the week/Saturday.  That should give me chance to fix any showstopper bugs I might introduce, so we have new games to play over the Xmas period.  Time is tight, so I can't get everything in I wanted to, but you should get a bunch of new games, plus the WIP reel lamps.  And hopefully some basic debug options, to help with scraping issues (for @Ultra JP).  Time is tight though!  I will keep chipping away... :)

Sorry man, that was just grabbed from some kind of google image search ages back, when I was initially hunting for side profiles of popular cabinets!  I guess could be worth an ask on the mecca...?

Many thanks for your reply, I'll ask at the mecca and see what happens.

Quick update :)

- improved a part of the input system, so it won't break when there are two inputs assigned to the same lamp number.  This fixes a few missing buttons/token slots
- have fixed the left/right stereo balance on the new machines that needed it
- fixed volume on Nudge It / Casino Pacman (though Pacman removed until I can fix its coin input issue)
- have removed some non-runners (don't boot/don't coin up) from the usable library for now, until I can do that additional work... so they'll disappear in the next patch (to avoid confusion with having non-playable machines)

Vid of testing some fixed inputs (Sonic hold button finally works, yay!) :
