Fucking Dond @johnparker007, we really are going to fall out or you just don't want me on AS lmfao.

Mate you do whatever you think is best as you are the dealer, I ain't going anywhere and know they will all be done at some point down the line, that is inevitable looking how far this has come from just doing the upscaling stuff you were on originally.

There are several I don't like which you have integrated into your platform but still it is nice to look at 3D wise (shhh don't tell anyone).

Lol there are quite a few DONDs layouts that fit those cabinets, so many DONDs it is unfortunately!  I've just gotta keep going really with these Eclipse's, when they're done they're done :)

I'm partial to a few new discoveries from working on this, plus all the ones I used to play back in late 80s-early 90s- I spend far more time programming than playing ;)

No @serene02 he is doing Donds to punish me, I know he has been reading my posts/threads and says to himself "Let's piss that old tosspit Zippy off cause he hates Edmonds mug".

Just seen your current post and you should have a bit of r+r and play some oldies, me personally gives focus especially on creating a layout. Could also give a new perspective and other fresh ideas. Believe I want your platform finished as much as you but looking into the future you still will have coding and updates to perform. Mame/MFME is kind of the same ball park as it is a constant loop of progression.

Your getting shite on for that Vecs, me tetchy hahaha never, I hardly say anything on these forums, quiet as a mouse me😉

The AS is crazy mate you gotta try it, my lappy is on the blink too but still working on the whole gaming PC set up and a little team are giving me lots of brilliant advice as it is their game tbh. Imagine a row of Cloud 999s, Blue Moons, Cash Counters and all that other wonderful stuff **oops missed the other 100s of other Dx's** lined up and from what I see you'll be able to cram shiteloads in.

If you really want honesty I log in everyday and keep checking what else @johnparker007 has done as don't want to miss any of it.

Indeed mate, this is a long term project, I don't know if it'll ever be 'finished', it'll just keep getting improved/expanded :)

It's just as @serene02 says above :)  - I don't have the cabinet made yet - but I will definitely be doing that cabinet (opens up quite a few other layouts that fit in that same unit too, like Sunset Boulevard, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink etc).

A new patch is uploaded :) (when you next start Arcade Sim it will auto-update itself).

Managed to get 6 of the 10 cherry picked layouts going, others have been put to one side for further converter work.  New machines are:

- DOND Box Clever £70
- DOND Desert Island Deal £100
- DOND Diamond £70
- DOND The Red Mist £100
- DOND The Red Mist Club £250
- Hot Shot £70

Think a couple of those silver covered win amount reels are misaligned on the DONDs - I have future tasks to do various improvements to reels in general so all that will get sorted then.

Here's a quick pan around of the machines in attract mode:

Some attract modes appear to have bugs (red letters on Happy Hour etc) - it's just due to the render data codec needing a little more work to add keyframes and keyframe-based seeking.

You've made quite a few DONDs!  :)  Re the misaligned reel: Think a couple of those silver covered win amount reels are misaligned on the DONDs - I have future tasks to do various improvements to reels in general so all that will get sorted then.

Also there will be future work, as currently all reels are misaligned until the machines have been played - it's not an oversight, I just haven't had chance to do the work yet, so that the reels are on the positions they were last in when the machine was saved... there's many bugs, it'll all get fixed/implemented over time :)

More machines will be coming in, a lot won't convert, or currently fail during conversion stages... all suitable layouts that permissions are available for (and I've built 3d cabinet models for) will be added in time :)

Hi John, just wanted to put it out there, that of course you can use any of my releases in your program. Who doesn't want to see their creations come to life like this? Truly amazing work so far!

You can use any of Rainbows releases (both Bungle and myself) whenever you see fit but it is 50 quid per layout and we don't take cheques.

£50 per layout if that’s the case I’d be a millionaire by now or at least very rich

I’d say 10pence is more than enough lol

Thanks very much for that, I'll add you to the list of layout artists who've given permission :)

I did actually put your DOND Make Or Break £100 (re-decalled by @vectra666to higher payouts) to one side in my last batch of eclipse cabinet layouts to attempt, as I saw I'd not got permission from you yet :)

Thanks bud, I do have you on the permissions sheet - once the 3d cabinet models are built that fit the layouts, they be in the queue to look at building (provided I can find the £50!) :)

If / when this is near complete will you be separating the machines in different arcades or sections as seams odd to have a old rat race next to a dond next to Andy Capp

just a thought you could have a retro arcade with decor styled on the 80’s with machines upto early 90’s within

a 90’s section arcade with machines fitting that era so £6 through to £15/£25

the modern arcade with machines £25 upto newer £100’s

a casino type section with any clubber from the early ones we have to the £500’s/£1000 with blackjack and roulette tables

make the sections zones like the crystal maze

If not sections could you not make say four different arcades to match the era you want to play in? So the player clicks on the relevant one

For sure man :)  This is just an initial 'test arcade'.  The recent new machines are all together in that corner (so people can check out the new stuff), whilst the older ones are behind (with many duplicates), to test running lots of renderers (to keep an eye on performance when drawing so many machines).

The Arcade Editor is currently disabled for end users, as I need to do various work - ultimately you'll be able to play other's arcades they have created in solo mode... and there'll likely be a default 'mega-arcade', separated into zones as you say, both playable offline and also online with other people.

So yes, while it does indeed look like a mess right now, it will all change at some point down the line - this is purely a test environment for the moment for me to keep dumping machines into! :)
