Using resources from another layout (my Austin Powers classic)?

I've been working on this on and off for a few days (don't judge the layout harshly at this stage, I'm still working lamps and things out before doing any real tidying up!), was going to attempt to work out the rest of the reel symbols and thought I'd see if there was another classic as if not I'd release it publically, if there was there wouldn't be much point!

Turns out there already is a classic in the legacy area by Johnnyafc from 2007! I'm still thinking that a new classic would make sense for me as it'll have all the working lava lamp sections working since they have 8 lamps (2x4 coloured lamps) per section. I've worked all of those out and still plan on completing the layout.

Something I did wonder though is Johnnyafc seems to have all the correct reel symbols for his layout (if you see my pic I've been working from scratch). Am I allowed to use these other symbols or do I need to source my own? I don't know rules of decorum for resources on here.

Ta!

I thought it would be a lot faster using someone else's reels but it's still taking ages! I mean it saved me a lot of time (cheers Johnnyafc!) but the actual moving things about and making things light properly is taking a long time. Just a case of messing about in demo mode until the bits light that I need!

Looking a bit better now mind. Got the desired result on the lava lamp - the new version of MFME handles the multi-lamped things on this and King Kebab significantly better (from memory!).

Just got to work out the lamps for the cash trail up the right, the mystery options, and the characters then it'll be pretty much done. Oh, need to add a legend for the winplan too.

Got rid of the purple background. Tried a few different shades but something didn't seem right!

Well this is interesting (to me anyway!)

Before stopping last night I worked out the cash trail manually, as well as the bits around the features that light up, 'Fat Bastard' mystery choices and a couple of other bits.

I'd tried lamp test at the beginning but it went straight to the 'flash' test, which tests all lamps, making it useless to me. I assumed that this was because all lamps were visible on the layout (albeit not labelled) and therefore it assumed all the lamps worked.

I've been having a play about in the config screen and  checked the 'lamp test fail' checkbox - and now it's giving me all the individual lamps!

Should be nearly done now, just working through trying to get the lamps for the names, reels, and a couple of the characters on screen, as well as working out how to get the LEDs around the 'disco' button to work :)

One little snag though - I seem to have locked the width and height of the layout! I can't drag my window to the right any more and now have sliders at the top and the bottom. Any of you more technical types know what I've done wrong?!

Thank you all for your help, I know it's not a new layout but it's given me something to work on the past few days and it's actually been pretty therapeutic, bit like a logic problem (with the way I'd been working everything out manually up until now due to not knowing what I'm doing!)

P.S something that made me laugh - I knew this was a clone of King Kebab, but didn't realise the test mode would have all the King Kebab lamp names!

Lamp test always starts in Flash Mode, you can press other buttons and it will change to a sequential test.

You have made the layout too large for your monitor, hence you now get scroll bars. You can change the size by right clicking on the background and entering the Window Size option and selecting something that will fit your monitor, then the scroll bars will disappear,
