I was wondering about this having stumbled across a forum where someone was playing MFME on a Linux distro on a Raspberry Pi and it seemed to run a lot better than I expected!

Hi. Is this using a x86 emulator running WINE? If so I have mentioned it in another post somewhere in this forum but I've got it running well on GameHub Lite and you can add on screen keys for each button. See screenshot attached.

I shared the configuration I used in my post (took a bit of trial end error to say the least!). Ill dig it out and link it here.

Here is the post I was commenting on:

And here is the important bit I posted about the configuration to get it working:

Quote

Compatability Layer = Wine10.6-arm64x-2

Translation Params = Compatible

Dinput Library = Prefer Native

GPU Driver = 8Elite-800.26

DXVK Version = Dxvk-v2.6-1-async

VK3D Version = vkd3d-2.12

CPU Translator = Fex_20250910

I'm scared to play about with it much more because honestly I was just messing with allsorts of options until it worked! I encountered loads of errors before getting to this which worked.

Also worth mentioning - when you do load it in press the back button to see some menu options and then set it to Full Screen. I found if you dont then you can't exit the games properly for some reason so you need to force close.

I also have MVFME installed and that works well too. I will note however that GameHub lite does not support portrait orientation so I have to use an app called 'Orientation Control' to force it into a vertical screen.

Good luck! There are some limitations with GameHub lite in that the touch screen behaves like a trackpad instead of an actual touch screen, which is annoying and its why I had to add the custom keyboard shortcuts instead. I will also add that I didn't use the MFME installer, I just copied the main MFME folder from my cabinet directly over and run the .exe from there.

Have a few on my android. Some guy called cashman has them. Also has community slots so you get features if someone else gets it at the same time.

As for linux etc. Some say it works some say to use this and that.

Tried it on my steamdeck with loads of suggestions etc. Does noy work and unless i see a decent vid of it working i'm not bothering as i don't want to mess up my settings etc as it took weeks to do.

I can get it to play on it with windows installed on a seperate drive but have to play lanscape mode and can only press the screen where you have to press twice to get it to spin. Not going into trying to pair a keyboard etc to map out buttons. Too much effort. If anybody wants to try it that way then fine but i reccomend you watch some decent tutorials etc if you are going to try it.

Don't mind me asking but what Screen Orientation app are you using? I tried a couple of variants but none of those would allow for full screen portrait mode, i use Gamehub Ludashi to run my MVFME, MFME and Aristocrats MK4, MK5 & MK6, i originally was using Winlator Ludashi however the Aristocrat games would not function correctly which is why i reverted to Gamehub, which surprisingly runs all of the above.

Also, have you tested the tournament/online option with MVFME? Mine does nothing when i select "Online" within the Emu (yes i have already created an account over at MVFME), no error message or crash, just nothing, was just curious to know if this was a Gamehub issue or a linux/container issue on Android.

It worked perfectly in game hub, buy now I get  a blank screen, tbh moonlight is what I would use for streaming the pc screen to my android now,

To be precise, I am using Gamehub v5.1.3, I refuse to update (for now) as it might break the emus I currently have running, also having the option to backup the container settings + the touch pad controls is a bonus (i.e. if I purchase a new phone just install the same apk with my backup files and everything is already setup 🙂)

Mvfme works best in gamenative, all games work fine 160 odd

Hmm thanks for sharing, I've tested GameNative, numerous times 😓, to the point my head was going to explode, I could never get the Aristocrat MK6 emu working with that emulator, feels like an on going battle with myself and GameNative because every few weeks I return to it and try and get that specific emulator working and I'm precise for storage memory, I refuse to have GameNative and GameHub installed on the one device, one emu needs to play everything (i.e. MFME, MVFME etc)
