We had a pair of Cat C T7 on test in 2008. Barcrest themselves came out to check in on it. From memory they both had the same 3 games, all lifted from Rio. I remember Monty Python's Holy Grail, and convinced the other two were Rainbow Riches (I think the lo-tech 3 reeler, but could have been the early 5 reeler POG?) and that Gold Rush / Lucky Strike or whatever it was called - 4 reels with dynamite?

Yes, just Barcrest, although T7 is really just a cabinet type with an industrial PC and an MPU5 or MPU6, with a Barcrest games dedicated to it. I've seen rebuilds running software from other manufacturers that used the original PC (why?!!) but didn't use the MPU5 or 6. I've seen rebuilds that replaced the original PC with something much more recent and reliable.

great release and yes it plays ok on my shittop (17" laptop)lol all installed and most games running, a few things i've found

a couple of games the base screen is too big and its missing the reels grease and ruby slippers

RR pots of gold or whatever its called and i think monopoly doesn't shutdown properly and gives a error screen which i then have to Abort Mvfme screenshots below

any suggestion on how to make the base screen smaller, also will Money Mad Martians and Elvis top50 be available soon

Been rowing £70 Top Trumps all night, a very interesting and unique game, had many a run in with it in Quicksilver back in the day...

'Twas playing foul from reset, £350 in and couldn't beat the Top Trumps bonus.   Eventually held the jackpot symbols and it rolled in for no repeat.

I got to thinking about how this game functions.  Does it play honestly and randomly allocate cards before the pick, or does it cheat you and pick its card after you choose?   I'm not sure it needs to cheat in that way as it can just keep throwing you the scarecrow or Dracula's slave cards when it wants to kill you off.   A permanent "Take A Peek"  hack would be fun...

The screen being wrong is a scaling issue. We thought we had got that sorted but if you set windows scaling to 100% on display settings it should be fine. Am going to post about that crash in a new thread though. But I’m guessing you have the MVFME folder on the desktop which means OneDrive locks files when they get copied over and MVFME can’t read a DLL file it needs and crashes

The Mvfme is on desktop also my windows scaling is already set to 100% other games are fine like cashino both screens visible

I to got the error when exiting from Rainbow Riches. and also i got the Gold pot on grease and lost the repeat but the machine locked up. I have posted on my channel with Rainbow Riches giving the website for people to download the emulator.

Where do we even start.

Some of you have been waiting a long time for this. Too long, honestly. We know that. We've teased, we've gone quiet, we've come back with "nearly there" more times than we care to admit. **So what is MVFME?**

MVFME stands for Multiple Video Fruit Machine Emulator. It's a Barcrest T7 emulator that runs real T7 slot machine games on your Windows PC. We're not talking about recreations or lookalikes. These are the actual games, running from the original game files, displaying on a dual-screen cabinet layout just like you'd see in a pub or arcade. Credits, stakes, wins, gamble features, collect — the full experience.

Version 1.0 ships with support for 9 games across B3, B4, and Category

And that's just the start. There are hundreds more T7 games out there and the groundwork is laid to support them. But we wanted to get something solid into your hands first rather than keep you waiting for perfection.

Oh, and keep reading. There's something else we've been working on that we think you're going to love.

**The Journey**

We won't pretend this was easy. It wasn't. Not even close.

The T7 platform was never designed to run outside of a real cabinet. Every part of it assumes it's talking to real hardware — screens, buttons, doors, hoppers, licence dongles, the lot. Making it work on a normal PC meant figuring out how every single piece communicated and then building replacements for all of it. From scratch.

There were breakthroughs and there were disasters. We'd get something working beautifully on one game and then watch it completely fall apart on the next. There was a period where we broke something fundamental and every game we tested just sat there doing nothing. No error message, no crash, just silence. We spent days chasing that one down. There was another stretch where we had the logic completely backwards on a critical piece — everything looked right on paper but the games just wouldn't spin. Turned out we'd inverted a single value. One bit. That cost us weeks.

There were moments where things went wrong so consistently that we genuinely questioned whether it was possible at all. Hong Kong Phooey would be up at stupid hours, convinced we were one fix away from cracking it, and Marvin would be right there alongside trying everything we could think of. Some nights the fixes worked. Some nights they made things worse. More than once we had to throw away days of work and start again from scratch because we'd gone down the wrong path.

But the testing crew kept us honest. Every time we thought something was done, they'd find another issue we'd missed. Games that worked perfectly on our machines would misbehave on theirs. Display scaling, screen layouts, timing issues — all the stuff you only find when real people use your software on real machines. Their patience and detailed reports are a massive part of why this works as well as it does today.

**Getting Started**

Right then, enough of the sob story. Here's how to get up and running:

1. Download MVFME v1.0 from **https://mvfme.com** — head to the Downloads page
2. Extract the zip to a folder on your local drive (e.g. C:\MVFME). Don't use OneDrive or a network drive — keep it local.
3. Run the two VC++ runtime installers included in the folder (vc_redist.x86.exe and vcredist_x86_2010.exe). You only need to do this once. If they say already installed, that's fine.
4. Run **mvfme.exe**

**Installing Games:**

MVFME uses .bpak files — these are the original Barcrest game packages. You'll need to source these yourself (you know where to look).

The supported BPAK files for v1.0 are:

- B3 500 Challenge7 5.0(Build 103).bpak
- B3 CashinoDeluxe7 1.1(Build 30).bpak
- B3 T7 Monopoly Big Event 1.1 (build 04).bpak
- B3 T7 Ooh Aah Dracula 1.0 (build 7).bpak
- B3 T7 RRPickNMix 1.2 (Build 1).bpak
- B4 T7 Grease 200GBP 1.1(Build 69).bpak
- B4 TopTrumpsHammerHorror 0.8(Build 40).bpak
- C T7 WoZRubySlipper 100GBP 1.4(Build 27).bpak
- C TT_HammerHorror 70GBP 0.2(Build 31).bpak

Copy these into the **bpaks** folder inside your MVFME directory, then in the launcher go to **File > Scan for Games**. MVFME will extract, decrypt, and set up each game automatically. You'll see a progress bar while it works. Once done, the games appear in the launcher grid — just click one to play.

You only need to install games once. They're remembered between sessions. To add more games later, just drop new .bpak files in the folder and scan again.

**Playing:**

Click a game to launch it. Use the on-screen buttons or keyboard shortcuts — Space to spin, C for £1 credit, V for £5 note. The full list of controls is in the README.

You'll need Windows 10 or 11. Any display scaling works (100%, 125%, 150% — we made sure of that, it was one of the last things we fixed). No internet connection needed to play.

Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I have an old surface laptop with the following spec, but I don't get the actual reels. Any suggestions if this old thing can run the games?

The trouble is there is only the 4 buttons on the t7 and you cannot map touch buttons to a key or physical button if they don’t already exist

and the issue with some games crashing doesn’t affect all games. Try moving the folder off the desktop as one drive will be syncing this every time a file is copied. Some games copy more files than others and write to the ran files more often

I thought a game or two played worse than I remembered, but having looked at the configs the games seem to be set the same as my own T7s at home when I had them - typically 94% on £2. Cost me £750 for a bonus on Ooh Aha Dracula, which paid £22. Mind you the next bonus £30 later paid £85 which did gamble out for the £500.

Yes works well got the usual exe being quarantined by mcafee but put in on the safe list and it works fine.Great achievement and thanks for taking the time and effort to get this up and running.

I stuck mine in c : drive, one lock up I had was putting it on max auto plays,  100, I think. It jammed but let me exit and go back in. So no big deal really, with all of the talking to each other constantly somethings going to get muddled up. I've not managed to mine any bit coin yet either
