MVFME V1.0 Released

I still use winamp! hahaha. And I remember dialup, I was with Tiscali. Had to always ask mum if I could unplug the landline from the socket, she was like, "Oh not aaaagaaaaaaiiiiiin!!!!" And this was back in the days of at least MFME the earlier releases back on fruit-emu. By the time I'd go off to bed the download of machines with ROMs would be done and I'd get no play, just a hard day's work which slowed down my fugitzu amilo siemans laptop. Ugh, ugh! And speaking of old software, who remembers MS NetMeeting? Sorry for the off-topicness.

Has anyone (if it's possible) managed to try and get community working on a local network. Trying to see if i can get the games to talk between my host pc and a VM.

tried changing the "MachineID" in the SBClientExec.ini file but no luck.

any help would be appreciated thanks

Never even thought of trying it on 1 computer. I only have the 1 machine unfortunately. The step up that the fact we have community games working is good enough for me. I was buzzing, for instance, when Wizard got astra games going, celebration being the best one as it's like a 1 player party time. Then when I seen games like the 3 player, 4 player and 7 players emulated I was like whoa! This is neat! This is why I respect everybody's work on emulators, be that Chris J Wren AKA Wizard, bless his heart, and even HKP and Marvin, plus the resources. When everything comes together as a team, things can work. I love it when a plan comes together, at the end of the day. If the plan doesn't, but we can play the game as a single player, then fair enough by me, I will accept that. Besides, I only have one decent machine, the other one is a nostalgia machine, an old sonie vaio running XP. MVFME on that would be slow as hell. But, saying that, Party Games was running on XP I believe.

It has gone a little quiet TBH. No tournaments for a few days, no DEV updates or anything relating to progress.  No matter though as I'm happy to wait as long as it takes.  I mean I've not posted anything new to my DADsFME for months

It's taken me long enough to post, but I just want to thank HKP, Marvin, all the beta testers and all of you involved in making MVFME possible or via your involvement by sharing files+info to the masses.

I've had it running on my S25 Ultra mobile for a few weeks now using Winlater 11.0. As far as I am aware, all machines are playing as they should with no glitches.

On my laptop, I've experienced what others have mentioned in this thread, mainly regarding v1.1. I have no concerns though having read the replies in this thread and after watching Degsi's/Harry Headwound's video.

Regarding these types of machines, I thankfully stopped playing them I'm guessing around a year or so from when they hit the arcades and Bookies.

Like I'm sure all of us at some point, I got my pants properly pulled down one day. It's got to be over 20 years now. Never forgotten. Zero gambling from me now. The digitals were the final nail for me.

Having the MVFME emulator gives me the opportunity to play the machines that I never really did, and to be as reckless as I want without any comeback. Lovely.

Exactly! That just about sums it up with the thanks you. Every release does deserve a thank you, even if it's not working as is. But as regards to new games, yes, you have to be patient. I have autism and it's very difficult for me to be patient, but I am. This is why I play a real T7 at my local for games not yet released. Once released, I reckon I'll be more virtual MVFME than proper hardware. I'm no way a real gambler, just love the lower stake machines for their sounds. Now this is all possible, once again thanks to all of you, CJW for MFME and HKP and Marvin for MVFME, Chopaholic for Harry Headwound, this is actually something I can do without losing any money! Here's to all of you, here's to Desert Island Fruits and all the admins here, also Here's to Dadsfme!

Hello everyone,

 

I would like to know if the MVME emulator is capable of providing output data/events similar to MAME outputs.

 

For example, in MAME you can use options like "-output console" and then read events such as lamps, coin counters, ticket dispensers, etc. directly from the console output or via network interfaces.

 

Does MVME support something similar?

If yes, how can these outputs be accessed or displayed?

Are there any commands, APIs, plugins, or example configurations available?

 

I would like to use the output data for external hardware and automation projects.

I think the devs have enough work to add more and different games and most users want exactly that first. Maybe in the future, when most games run, they will add your wishes, maybe not.

My start button on my cab powered by an ipac works on mvfme already if that's any help? 

I've also mapped a V button for the credit. Just can't figure out how to change anything else.

The T7 cab has only a few physical buttons ( start, transfer, help?) which can be mapped. The virtual buttons on the touchscreen will be hard to use with a keyboard/ipac mapping.

I had a lot of learning problems at school etc.. Never been diaogosed with anything as i refuse to do anything about my learning problems as i have made a success of my life with approaching 30 years of being in busssiness.

I have no time for computers what so ever unless its playing my emu.

I even struggle to load my own emails and things on it. All very simple stuff to someone who has learned how to use computers. i am very much a pen paper man.

I havent even heard of a torrent to download anything. im much ignorant to pressing on a link and downloading blindly.

when i went to download a torrent program i ended up downloading loads of different things as i had no clue what i was doing.

 I left using all the forums and only stuck with the briallant mpu mecca. Which sadly i can never log on now or even see any posts, thats been the case since after lockdown a few years back. perhaps your bf runs the mecca now and has banned me for life lol

A long time has passed since the fruit emu days.  I agree though some members were toxic. I remember Vectra getting hammered over there by a certain member, which should have been nipped in the bud.  I can’t stand bullies!!
