Reg Posted June 28 Author Report Share Posted June 28 @Road Hog Mad nope - that is fine - it was the full screen stuff I was after. @dudese it is not well since I put the Pac-Drive in it ( which I don't think is the problem ) and the SSD ( that I do think is the problem ). I was trying to replicate my PC and it took about ten mins before dying. Everything is being run from the PC ( screen and literally everything ). It think I need to remove the SSD and just have things internal and for a while get the pac-drive unplugged and see how it goes. It has got really slow - but it also might be a windows update or an unhealthy OS build. I am going to start on the easy things and work backwards. dudese Posted June 28 Report Share Posted June 28 Mines got the screen running off the usbc, the lights off usb, the keyboard off usb, and the ipac off usb, just no pac drive, but cant see that being too bad. After doing the thermal paste, disabling some crap in windows 11, messing about in the bios, mine seems to be running great. The only issues are the screen will flicker on and off sometimes in igme, and sometimes when I boot the cab the touchscreen will not work, or be blank for a while. Unplugging usually fixes, but its quite annoying. Did you get round to doing the thermal paste? If its anything like mine then it should make a world of difference. dudese Posted June 28 Report Share Posted June 28 (edited) Cash exploder doesn't seem to let me make any changes to it, as I wanted to stretch it out a bit. When I load up the editor it looks like how I want it so its obviously saved, but on the homescreen it hasn't updated from the original. Also, some games like chilli con carnage, don't really have a logo to work with (not the kiosks fault), so I'll have to add the missing ones later. So far though, im loving the icon editor. Some look better than others, but overall I think it will look awesome when they are all done. Might even get ai to polish them up a bit. Edit: same for bucks bunny, as ive set the wrong jp. Ive changed it, but it wont update. Edit again: dam it. Close and open refreshed it. For the missing one - check the file name in the config - wondering if there is some messed up character that has not translated while. dudese Posted June 28 Report Share Posted June 28 I think you misunderstood me. I mean on some machines there's no visible logo to use on the actual layout. Such as chilli con carnage. I think it displays the logo on the bottom door of the actual machine. I'll have to add custom ones later on. Some like Alice's wonderland also look a bit silly too, so will need a photoshop. I need three pictures from you both please in this order - don't describe - show... Picture 1 - Game loaded in - no keys tested ( and actually confirm if this build does load fast for you ). Picture 2 - F11 pressed once. Picture 3 - F11 pressed again. I need the whole screen so I can see the image top to bottom. This is a major bug bear of mine and now getting slightly annoying for both of you - so I want to try to fix. Use the same layout, the Mont. one we have been using. New pictures please and try to get the best shot - I know it's a pain but this will help me. @dudese I will package up a new version of the emu right now - this is as it has a better icon editor in - more variations. Road Hog Mad Posted June 29 Report Share Posted June 29 @Reg i actually don't think its your kiosk. Ive been using just the T7 emulator and pressing F11 and even that is cutting some buttons off. There must be a file within the T7 folder that needs tweaking. After spending two hours on it today I have run out of time and given up lol, so I feel your pain. But I don't think it's your kiosk. My screen resolution is 1080x1880 I think on my cab. Now in some unofficial games you have to manually adjust the display.ini files and they seem to work to some extent but even them play up in full screen mode in emulator. So I think it's the emulator screen scaling or something, I could be wrong, or I could give up and delete everything and just stick to mfme! Road Hog Mad Posted June 29 Report Share Posted June 29 And also, on my main PC with 2160x1440 wide-screen and vertical monitor at the side they play fine on that when you drag them over on to the other screen, so I'm at a loss and I'm I am at the stage of it's not really worth it, the new games are great but I honestly can't be arsed anymore. Changing them different colours would help to see the different JP amounts .... or this page actually its just above. dudese Posted June 29 Report Share Posted June 29 OK so this is it loaded up without pressing anything. Ive noticed now the kiosk starts mvfme too quickly and is about 5 seconds in front of the emulator being ready, but that's more of an observation than an issue. Its still overall loaded up quicker than before. This quick load let's me see mvfme starting up and it looks like its going to render correctly, then at the last second does this: This is with f11 pressed once: and f11 pressed again: Damn glare on the screen though.
