Actually, on the road map further down the line is a replacement front end for an actual cabinet so you can get past the 40 game limit and install hundreds of games and actually play in real play on a real cabinet. I have owned at least three and they can be a bit flakey with problems and you are always only one boot, one hardware problem away from a giant paperweight. You can say that with a lot of things I know, but the first T7 I had was sickened by problems and that was from shipping. I never really mentioned what a ball ache it was to get running. The second T7 I got had a nicer selection of games, but that had a screen problem. That was scrapped. The third T7 I got was the good one, never a problem. Until I really got my head around fixing some of my own problems and a box of spares ( that were given by a good friend ) it was always a lottery. If you can buy a T7 for sub-£200 (yes, they do exist) then it's not too bad. My first sit down with the £200 community, on a hacked licence (before I found out about that) cost me £1200. When the PC kept dying despite my best efforts I probably got £150 for the screens, validators, and GPU, and got the HASP unexpired so managed to get £150 for that. Bozzy Posted April 3 Report Share Posted April 3 This new emu is really exciting news for me, and not for the usual reasons..... I have managed to NEVER EVER put a single penny in any of the (as I would call them) new fangled bandits. I've always enjoyed reeled machines all the way back to when I worked in pubs as a teenager (early 90's), but never addicted, just a spot of loose change from a round and the odd note here ant there, and I think that addiction never materialised thanks to Chris and MFME, that kept the itch scratched! Back to the point tho, these new Vegas style screen only machines have interested me, but not to the point I want to pay to play, and this new emulator will allow me to have a go on what would effectively be in the pub (rather than to online casino games). At last I'll get to see how brutal they can be! On a side note, my local club did have a £500 Red Hot Six in it for longer than I can remember , and just last week I walked in and a shiny new touch screen was in it's place. I probably know who you are on about and they if so it is probably the same person who coded the Bar X Random Repeat machine for Mr P's amusements. I believe their first machine at Concept was either a £500 or £675 random machine, can't remember if it ran on Electrocoin or Bar X Z80 hardware. One did turn up for sale as faulty and I showed him and he stated it was his first machine he coded for them. Never did get around to buying it, as at that point my days of buying knackered machines were pretty much over. If this is still of interest / use let me know and I'll share the python + powershell code I use for various stages. For machine_logic.barc - it uses both encryption and zlib compression.
