Fair games, timeless, bar 7’s

Just wondering if anyone’s made an emulator for this machine or if it would be possible to? It’s the one with the special holds for a win or streak. I’d love to have either an actual machine or emulator of it but have had no luck finding either.

I've tried several times to get the Fair Games ones to run with no luck, sure plenty of others will have tried too.

If you need something that is similar, CashmanEQ has an app on Google Play if you have an Android phone.

Download this app - it also has some Bar X simulations, and there's a simulation of Bar 7 in there that does a bonkers streak with the hidden holds.

i would like to know which ones are sitting in admirals around the uk still, 10p 20p £5 £15.

which version are they, and can we manipulate the existing roms to behave the bars and sevens malfunction etc?

In one of the arcades in Scarbro there is one of these on a £70 JP i don't know which arcade its in, but i have seen a video of it doing the crazy streak feature on JD slots you tube channel, also there are real ones out there to buy Chris217 on you tube has 2 fair games machines bell bar 7 and there machine based on electrocoin magic 10 style machine he's got it on £10 jp and 20p play but set at a very high percentage it goes crazy even when not in the streak feature have a look at his channel

Aren't Fair Games machines on Heber Pluto 5/6 ? I know the guys there - they've been around the industry for a long long time. In theory you can brute force the encryption on Pluto 5 to get them to run, but that'd need some dev work...

Didn’t think we had any of the fair games machine running yet but don’t we have Pluto 5 tech within mfme?

We do have Pluto 5, but I'm guessing that - as with Pluto 6 - there's probably different chips and possibly minor board differences between boards. Hence why, if you have say a Betcom Pluto 6 machine, you need a Betcom Pluto 6 board, or another board with the same colour sockets and then swap at least one socketed chip over.

I'm pretty sure the ones I saw inside originally were Pluto 5. I'm sure it would be doable, but I think you are suggesting, it's something that would need to be done emulator-side, which suggests it being a thing for future MAME

I'm pretty sure the ones I saw inside originally were Pluto 5. I'm sure it would be doable, but I think you are suggesting, it's something that would need to be done emulator-side, which suggests it being a thing for future MAME

To determine that just look at manufacturer.  These are Fair Games Limited, nothing to do with BFM, they likely bought the rights.  Those DX’s are all listed as BFM, so we don’t have a layout for these rebuilds.  They are very likely SC5, maybe even SC6 or even Pluto.

Not sure if we even have the roms for this FG version.

thanks, i have checked the layout gallery, i can se the higher win version, can you please tell me if the sys85 version has the hold win for the streak and mystery win?

its the one that looks most like the ones in town and i know nothing about the roms and variations? please and thank you

I'm 99% sure they use Pluto - I'll almost certainly see one of their coders at ICE in a few weeks, so will ask. Whilst I believe some early support for Pluto 5 was done in MFME, I don't believe it got any further? I did a few games on Pluto 5 so I'd be happy to release my FGPA security keys for that if someone can do a layout for my German games.

Pluto 6 uses a 2-stage security system and so would need both a smartcard and CSD chip emulating. Both P5 and P6 are still in use today for new machines so there are some security and legal considerations here.

These are the original BFM ones this guy wants the remakes by Fair Games that have the 2 special holds that give a win spin or big streak which i dont think can be emulated not sure what tec Fair Games use

I didn’t realise old tech was still in use. What about BFG stuff such as Scorpion 6?

Doesn’t MAME take the approach that games over 3 years old are a fair target but stay away from anything newer?
