FRK
Hi, Right, controller almost finished, just button to fit and wire up.. It will be a thing of beauty. But now comes the tricky part (thought it would be easy) to assign the right keyboard keys to the console buttons. I have this (yes Via Chat GPT) which looks great until I see button 3 for Coin input is also used for Hold/Nudge. Can anyone look over this and change as necessary. It would be a great help. Thanks MFME I-PAC2 Button Assignment (25 Buttons) auto nudge = A cancel = C change game = G club = / coin = 3 collect = X down = DOWN ARROW exchange = E gamble = B hi = H lo = L £ notes = 4 nudge/hold 1 = 1 nudge/hold 2 = 2 nudge/hold 3 = 5 nudge/hold 4 = 6 save it = V service = S shuffle = F start = SPACE stop = Z take feature = T up = UP ARROW escape key = ESC
davep180
In nearly all layouts £1 is configured to 0, then 50p 9, etc. I’d keep holds as 1 to 4. Collect is normally set as ‘. You can double up keys too, so often hi and lo can be set to the corresponding hold buttons. A lot of mine have cancel and collect in the same button too ie c and ‘ on one button. You’ll see mfme has this option. Once you are set on what you want, save the configuration. You can then load it in for each machine, saving time.
FRK
Hi, Thanks for that, I was hoping that I could almost globally use the same configuration to cover most games. I have 25 buttons so hope it covers most keys... If I can get 90% working that would be fantastic, don't mind the odd mouse click if I have to.. smithers18
I'm not sure if this is the best way but I find it easy enough to do it this way and it also gives me an opportunity to check the lamps for a specific button too at the same time: Open a layout Click 'Design>Edit' from top menu Right-Click on the button you want to change and select 'Properties' Look for the 'Shortcuts' field (you can assign 2 keyboard shortcuts per button) Either change the existing shortcut or add a second shortcut as desired Save the button changes Once you have made all the changes you need then click 'Design>Edit' again to exit edit mode Save the layout (This is all from memory because I'm not in front of my cabinet right now! I will edit if I got any of it wrong)

But you can save a template that you can load into a machine to save time doing each and every button every time.
