Site is blocking my IP address

Apologies if this is the wrong thread, but I have only just come back after a recompense where I have apologised.

I can access this site, but only after using a VPN.  If I switch my VPN off I can't load the site and it does not work.

 

This is a message for Spa please as I cannot seem to contact him either.  Many thanks for the review of my account and forgiveness.  I have issues you a pm over on Dad's which you can personally view.  (apology).

If someone gets their hands on your IP (Internet Protocol) address, they can potentially track your moves online, send targeted ads, and even commit cybercrimes on your behalf. Of course, there's more to the subject, and bad actors may need more than just your IP address for some of these activities.

To be fair an IP address, posted on a fruit machine forum, is of bugger all value to anyone but the person that IP address is assigned to. Much more likely these days that people will have issues based on data collected during hacks, which is then posted online / sold online.

I was trying to see previous posts from @Coskey Fruits last night but was unable to. I'm sure I recall some incident(s) that everyone got fired up about as it's a sort of recognisable name. 

Depending on what it was it might be a case of you being allowed access to the site but don't expect much in the way of help or support from members who were (rightly or wrongly) offended or disgusted by what you may have posted. Like I say I can't view previous posts so I'm just going off vague memories. 

Assuming you apologised for whatever it was you did, I'm hoping you extend that apology to the userbase here and not just the admin(s). Admins may let you in, but it's forum users who will be interacting with you and it is up to them how forgiving they want to be.

I cannot send any messages to anyone on here, please could you kindly ask Spa to remove the post concerning my I.P address as I cannot send any messages?  I think you are confusing me with another member.  I did not post anything derogatory concerning other members.  The 'historic' controversy was between myself and Spa, therefore I don't really understand why you are getting upset as you are 'in my opinion cross referencing me with assumptions concerning another member'.

 

Thank you for your advice and consideration regarding the IP address,  I cannot contact anyone because my ability to send messages is disabled and the site will also not allow me to access without my VPN switched on.  Failing this I will have to now contact my internet provider and change it.

I do not have a static IP address and have it assured after a lengthy phone call to my provider that I have dynamic security.  Dynamic IP address.  It has been sorted so the above post containing the address after following my providers instructions now is useless!!!

TO 'HOPEFULLY' CLEAR THINGS UP AND TO FINALISE.

Firstly any IP address I have posted in this thread is now dead and changed.  I have dynamic router security so resetting my router and restarting has cured this.  My IP has changed the address is no longer the one listed on this thread.

I can now access the site without using an IP address.   The DIF website was added to my list of blocked sites for my router after I had a minor dispute with Spa.  I had completely forgotten I had done this as it has been at least 2 years since I was last on DIF.   

I have recompensed and made amends with him and agreed to abide by the rules and regulations of this site, but I should not be confused with another member for causing uproar on the scene as 'Slots Magic' has implied that he recalls some incident(s) that everyone got fired up about as it's a sort of recognisable name.   With respect this is assumptive and there is no evidence of any threads or messages relating to such behaviour or activity.  This is IN MY OPINION merely both assumption and speculation, which is the mother of all mess ups, so with respect 'He is entitled to his opinion' but I owe no apologies for offence caused to any other member apart from Spa on this site, because it was an isolated incident in which I over-reacted, it's between myself and Spa which is our business and we have now worked out.   I want to move forward and leave any bad feeling in the past.  'I practice the following principle in my daily affairs as much as possible:  Made amends to those we had harmed, except when to do so, would injure myself or others'. so enough said. I leave it there

To answer Pete Walton's question, I am not the user 'Nut' on Fruit-emu.  I am registered on there as Cash Pot Cadger.  As this (Fruit Emu) site is dead and no longer seems to have any recent layouts or content, I have not used it for some time.  I am Coskefy Fruits on Dads Emu and am also registered on the Mecca.  When I signed up here I made a balls of up my username and accidentally missed out the f.  So here on DIF I am thr Coskey Fruits username.

As it stands, being formally barred by an administrator and appealing that decision, I consider myself both fortunate and grateful to be allowed to return.  I cannot message other members and I cannot download any files, however I really do not know why this has happened.  This lies in the hands of Spa or the site owners.   As previously stated.  I formally apologised for any wrong doing on my part.  I strive to go forward, abide by the rules and keep a low profile.

Would please be helpful if the download and message issue was fixed.  Many thanks for everything and for all the help and understanding.  Is much appreciated.

I am grateful for the heads up in the danger of displaying personal IP addresses advice in threads from Slots Magic and Liverpool2008.  I did not really see the harm as most sites seem to point to the fact that they can readily see a persons IP address to make the site communications work.  Please could an administrator now look into the problems regarding downloading and messaging.  I would also further like this thread to now be locked as I don't want to be the subject of further speculation.

Many thanks for everyone's time involved.  I am now powerless to do anything further.  In relation to downloads and messaging, this now remains in the hands of the powers that be.

Two issues for me :

1) Probably one for the admins... Not sure why I can't see your previous posting history. It says you've got 114 posts here, yet I can only see the ones in this thread and then a single one from 2023? I don't know if that is something to do with the way in which you were banned? 

2) I may well have mixed you up with someone else and I apologise if that's the case. I guess the word 'Fruits' is going to be pretty common on a fruit machine site. I've had a look at your reputation score and it looks like you don't have any of the negative reputation things. Then again I also can't see any posts pre-2023. So entirely possible I am mixing you up and having checked my post the language like 'disgusted' and stuff really wasn't fair given I was basing that on just (a) you being banned and (b) someone with the name 'Fruits' (which is common) doing something stupid.

I shouldn't have made such a post based on assumptions and which would lead others to make assumptions on your character so I do apologise for that.
