Using this information I got from Reg

Pete @WibbleWobble knocked me up this cracking board to run this hopper......The pins on the hopper are the same as in the picture, ie pin 12 is bottom left of the green plug on the hopper and pin 1 is top right.

image.thumb.jpeg.3f3b4fc39b79d3906cd74afc9d2e4687.jpeg

Close up the board looks like this.......

image.thumb.jpeg.f362c31f1235f777025faf79548bce8e.jpeg

So pins 1,2,4 and 8 join up to the 24v -ve source. Pins 9 and 10 join to the 24v +ve source

Pin 3 goes directly to the I-pac.

Pin 12 goes to the pac drive via the relay (top right in pic) and then blue wire shown in pic

The other black pin (top, centre of relay) joins up with the 24v -ve wires on the board

The centre bottom black wire goes to your 12v -ve source

The left bottom red wire goes to the 12 +ve source.

I can't pretend I understand how it works lol, but if you wire it up like this it will work! If anyone can do a wiring diagram for this, please feel free to add!

One final pic of the hopper itself.

could of got an adult to help you with the colouring in on the wiring diagram!! however i'm surprised you have some crayons left that haven't been eaten!!

Need an adult to create it first! I'll colour it in with the unchewed ends of my colouring pencils. Can't use felt tips, I lost all the lids!

Thanks for this information, @davep180- may well come in handy for me one day...

Although me actually having the dough to complete the cab is a flipping mile away at present, does it make sense to aquire hoppers & coin mechs sooner rather than later? I just wonder if the whole community (which is growing pretty damn fast now) all decide to build cabs, then these parts will either be hard to find (and get expensive) or worse, become impossible to source at all... am i worrying about nothing here?

So glad for these diagrams etc too being posted in the cabinet building section of this site tho... a very valuable resource...

Thanks a million!

All the best,

Gary.

It's really hard to tell Gary. Recently prices have definitely risen. Mainly due to Brexit I think. I could get Azkoyen hoppers from Germany for about £10 each, £5ish delivery. Now they won't even entertain sending them to the uk. You don't really see that many suitable hoppers on ebay at the moment. This is one of the reasons I have been looking at alternatives, just so that everyone has a choice of hardware! Even the Chinese types aren't exactly cheap. Mechs are more common, and I believe that the Mars 126, Mei Cashflow cf9524 and a SR5i have all been used in builds so far. It would be great to build up the resources as people get stuff working, hence me asking @madgerald1974how he did his cube hoppers.

I'll definitely read into this - my MFME cab (still unfinished!) has the Universal hopper, mount e.t.c. still intact. Just not connected to anything at the moment :)

Thanks for the reply @davep180... thats a bugger about them Azkoyen hoppers. Why on earth won't they send them here? - I mean we are paying the P&P on them are'nt we? or is there a cost to them too, if so could'nt a buyer in the uk just cover that cost to stop them being put off sending them? - would still probably be cheaper than others especially as the core price is just a £10'er.

Either way i guess sourcing these should be on my list next, before the price goes out of my reach.

All the best,

Gary.

Hi @MPU_FIVEI think postage is around £20 per unit and the dreaded paperwork is what kills it. Exporting from Germany to say Italy or even Ireland is waaay less hassle (got any friends or family there?)They just don't want to play lol. Try ebay.de and you'll see what i mean. Just keep an eye out for a bargain mate. If you are on Facebook (I'm not), then the marketplace may have the odd bit available too.

@MPU_FIVEI have two spare cube hoppers you can have. If you are happy to message me a delivery address I'll send you them with £1 and 10p discs. That will get you started. One works perfectly, the second however is not dispensing correctly (£20 bank pays around £15-18).  Might just be a dirty optical or maybe due for a cap change. I don't have the time to check it out. They both need a good clean and silicone grease up. I don't have any spare bases though so a bit of creativity with some wood and screws and it should be quite easy to mount inside your machine.

Hope it helps. Cheers 😀
