Yeah, I believe that's the case for sure as we have £15 versions of Lord of the Rings and I can't imagine they got a rechip?   Maybe if you had a keyboard that read multiple key presses at once.  I know some keyboards only do so many, be great to get to the bottom of this.

JP might be the guy to ask about this actually as he might know the inner working of how inputs are dealt with and if it's different to how the machine would read them etc.

J

LOTR did get a rechip but you would think a few of the versions we have do work for Super Hold. Also, my keyboard does not read multiple presses at once. An example is on a machine like DOND Perfect Deal where you need to hold all 3 hold buttons to respin the boxes for the matrix. Well my keyboard won't allow me to do this!

When I tried for the Super Hold trick on LOTR or Snakes, I changed the key inputs so they were far apart on the keyboard but that still didn't work.

That's the full archive of Cop the Lot roms.  I don't know how sorted they are, you'll have to go through them.

Cop The Lot (Bellfruit) [Rom].zip 2.92 MB · 1 download

I have all those Cop The Lot roms but I notice in the rom dat there are 2 roms for Snake Rattle N Roll that I don't have. They begin with srnr and could be an early program. Do you mind uploading the full archive of Snake Rattle N Roll roms please?

Another game from this era that definitely needs a makeover is Royle Family.

mate that game i worked out the empty myself as it would hold the wins after the cherries repeater feature after chage stake, few days later worked out how to do it all the time and went from there...

So did you have the empty before anybody else ever did?

The Crystal Rooms is now all boarded up and part of the Hippodrome casino.

Sad times.

The only thing really now that is sad, is that we don't have lots of videos walking around in there, during the 90's. It would have been a fantastic look at the great variety of fruit machines available back then. It would have provided glimpses of machines, that many will have forgotten.

But I remember they were extremely strict about anyone filming or even taking pictures in there. I saw numerous people told off, for taking an innocent picture of friends, on a night out or tourists on holiday. I think I was even told off for taking my mobile out in the early 2000's.

When I did my old arcade haunts trip, it had already turned into The Hippodrome Casino.

It was the main place of my addiction throughout the 90's.

I would say, I wish it never existed, but I'd of found somewhere else, as my favourite place to play fruitys, even if it hadn't.

By the £15 era, I had stopped visiting weekly.

By the £25 era, I can't ever remember visiting, other than once, when they had Novomatic multi slots, with slots, like Lucky Lady Charm. By then Online slots, became my main addiction and I played AWPs on day trips out, or when I went for a drink and occasionally in local arcades.

as far as i know yes but because i was a pier player it spread like wildfire via gossiper and onlookers and skint mates standing with you all day hopin you'd help them get up hahah

done the same on reel appeal too, worked out the 3 holds would swap even whne not spinning if held no iwns then used the skill stop reel 3rd hold to set up bars which often held as was 5 way to pay so 4th hold was skill for bars on different line but simple to empty and cheap too.. didn't get turned back on rather quickly haha

Yeah I know what you mean! I remember there were rumours of an empty on the forums and then somehow we found out the method.

I went in the Chinatown one because I used to like the 5p games downstairs, but they've all gone. Basically Bar X and poker machines down there now.

Mostly 500s upstairs.

They had a “good times roll” and a quantum leap down the road. My only good result was streaking a pot of gold

It worked on Take Note as well. We actually have program 1.1 but it doesn't work for some reason. What you said about how button inputs are read might be the problem. We also have Cop The Lot 1.1 but they are Scorpion 5 roms and the layout is Scorpion 4.

Take Note £15 is one I'd like to see redone. Brilliant machine back in the day
