Anyone recognise this fruit machine from Fawlty Towers?

Well it looks to me like an Aristocrat pull-handle machine, it's got 4 reels, and the top looks like it might read 'QUAD REEL' which I think is what Aristocrat called their 4 reel product line. Not sure what the actual machine is called though, and I'm going to assume it's before the days of microprocessor controlled machines.

I very much doubt it would work in the emulator, although I never looked into the ins-and-outs of the Electromechanical side MFME - but even then you'd need schematics and stuff, and that's assuming it operates using relays e.t.c. and isn't basically just clockwork :)

Currently owned digitals : T7 Encore, T7 Original, Astra iPub and Storm Street Casino.

MFME cabinets : Genesis cab DIY by No1Stoney, Interplay conversion and Vegas Strip conversion (both are works in progress!)

If it's from Season 1 then that was broadcast in 1975, which is before microprocessor control.

Season 2 was 1979 so there's a chance it could be microprocessor controlled, but it's unlikely.

Actually, having had a look at the picture again that's from the first episode of Season 1 (A Touch Of Class) which is when Lord Melbury came to stay at the hotel, so it'll definitely be electromechanical.

Therefore for it be emulated you'd need the schematics as slotsmagic notes above, so pretty much a 0% chance I'm afraid. (Electromechanical machines don't have ROMs.)

Im sure in one episode The Major actually plays the damn thing....... at least in the background anyway.....

Incidentally - for anyone who does appreciate the retro vibe - Southport Pier has a cafe/bar at the end. and one half of this is an "arcade"  which is more of a museum.

There is about 25-30 old old old machines - all in working condition, and you can buy old pennies to play them with.  Its pretty cool actually.
